Hello.....we are traveling to watch our students perform in the Candelight Processional....I have always wished that their date would coincide with NPH and this year it does! Woot! We were able to score breakfast at Akershus for the show they will be performing in (5:15) with the CP Dining Package. While we have been several times, never for NPH and I know the lines for his show - even with the dining package - are crazy. What I am wondering is how early will we need to line up to ensure that we have a "good" seat so that we can see our students well. I've had a dining package in the past, for narrators who don't draw the crowds and we were fine lining up 30 minutes before show time but I am guessing that is not the case with NPH. We booked the package specifically for the "guarantee" of a seat. What time should we be lined up.....and if there is one or two members of our party of 4 who doesn't mind doing a long wait, is it frowned upon for them to wait and others join in line as the time draws close?

I have heard for NPH the line starts a couple of hours in advance, even with a dining package.
That's what I have always heard as well......my first insticnt was wow how I would LOVE to have NPH for our stuents' performance.....now that it has come to fruition after several pre-covid years of awesome shows, I'm wondering what was I thinking! Because, the seating matters to us - but not for NPH as much as our students! Ha. Regardless, we will have a fabulous time, but I want to be sure I can see our students. I don't need the front row, but I don't want to be sitting behind a pole with an obstructed view.

How many minutes prior to the show do they let in the Dining Packages, and how soon after is it open for standby if any seating remains?

I thought they started letting in around 45 minutes prior, or something like that. I've seen NPH 3 times (very personable) and in my opinion, there are no bad seats. We have been closer and farther away. There are a couple of trees that you can get behind, but they're not large and you can see around. I'd say if you want to be close to the front, get there early, around 2 hours before. We just usually get in line 45 minutes before showtime. It is beautiful!

Really useful info, thank you - I’ll look over a tree if it saves me hours in a line!
