We are taking the 8/28 disney cruise, but beforehand are spending 4 days at Universal. Since the novelty of taking the Disney Cruise line bus to port has long worn off, we have decided to treat ourselves to a limo/town car. We want to go from the airport to Royal Pacific, Royal Pacific to Port, and then Port to Airport.

Can anyone recommend limo/town car services. I have heard some good reports about Florida Tours and Happy Limo; have heard some not so nice things about Tiffany.

Any personal experiences you can share about either? Thanks.

(P.S. -- thanks to the person who gave out the tip about getting the entertainment rate by calling Loews directly. Because of that, we are able to afford to stay on-site.)

Well, I've used Tiffany and Happy Limo - Tiffany left a lot to be desired (we were "forgotten" twice - had to call and then wait until they could get a car to us).

Happy Limo has been great - used them many many times now and they are always on time, professional, nice cars, etc.... There is a coupon code you can use (OTP1277) that will give you some dollars off your transfers. Call and tell them what you want (details of your transfers) and ask how much of a discount that code will get you. (not much probably but every bit helps).

Have fun; sounds like a great trip.

Thank you, Puffy2. Very helpful. So far, Happy Limo seems to have the most votes from those I've talked to and sites I've checked.:wave2:

We did use Tiffany last week and had a good experience. Mike was our driver and he was early. He had the booster seat that I'd requested.

I was going to the airport with my 4yo and decided that since the town car was a splurge (I could have saved a lot of $ with Mears for only two of us) that I was going to go with the cheapest place. It worked out fine, but I had read some not so wonderful things about the company and knew that I was taking a gamble.

I was going to post a thread on this with regard payless transport so may as well hijack this one any one used them they seem very cheap :jester:

Just thought I'd chime in here since I've used Tiffany Towncar three times now with no problems ever.

They've been on time, polite & friendly drivers, towncars were v. clean. No complaints here for Tiffany Towncar.

We love tiffany towncar we had 6 people and with passporter coupon its cheap round trip to wdw 88.00 before tip !! will also stop at store for 30 min we loved them Larry was great on time had car seat super service!

Check out the Transportation board. It talks alot about town cars/limos etc.

For us, we have used Tiffany in the past, loved them and have booked them for our upcoming trip in March.

Another vote for Tiffany. We have used them three years in a row and have been more than pleased with them and have booked them again in November.

JUst wanted to chime in here. We have used Tiffany three times and will be using them on Friday for the fourth. They have always been great. The only complaint that I have is that the car they bring you back to the airport in, is never as nice as the one they pick you up in! But, to me this is minor - they have always been on time and been very accomadating in what time I wanted to be picked up and also very generous with the grocery stop. Good Luck!!

We've used ******** and they were very, very good. The last time we used them we needed a van because we had 8 people (3 moms and 5 kids). When I reserved I asked them to put the littlest girl's name on the card that the driver holds up in arrivals. I had told the little one that she was in charge of getting the taxi and she was nervous. She was so tickled to see the driver holding up her name and standing at the bottom of the escalator. That card has gone into her scrapbook and she always talks about how neat that was.

Damo - that is so sweet, I bet she just loved that! I would have loved to have seen her face.

Huh, that's weird!!! We used Your Ride. I wonder why that was bleeped out.

We went with Meers a few times. Found the limo service great - cans of pepsi waiting in the bucket, alcoholic drinks if you wished, crystal glasses - watched a bit of tv on the way!!:p

Damo...I've been bleeped a couple of times on innocent words like "*****" when we were talking about our pets and "bloody"- bet you they are bleeped now.....let's see!! :p

That's weird. If I type in the words Your Ride as one word, it gets bleeped.

That's interesting - it took out "*****" but not "bloody" - now in England "bloody" would have been bleeped. Wonder what other innocent words are bleeped. Just checking: Hmmm parts of the body: bottom, breasts, nipples, thighs, groin, legs, arms, tummy, pubic hair, how about: licking, riding, kissing, lips, tongue. I could go on forever....just seeing what's been bleeped. Excuse me and carry on with the thread......:)

Damo,
There was a big thing over on the Transportation board about Your Ride. Something happened that upset the DIS people and now if you type ******** it will be bleeped out. I forget why there was such an uproar.

Well...there you have it. They were all kept in.....but they keep bleeping out "*****"!!! and yet they allow "fanny".......now in England a fanny is a....oh never mind. Excuse this intervention.

To get back to the thread...........Mears were on time each time we booked, helpful with our bags and also gave their business card so we could call them at a discounted rate while at the parks!!:D

Selina, just had to tell you that your post cracked me up! :teeth:

We are booked with Florida Tours in March. Have heard great things about them so hoping for an uneventful transfer to the Portofino!
