My partner, her two boys, 12 and 10, and I are coming over to Orlando on Boxing day. It's the kid's first visit to Disneyville and we'd like to make it as memorable as possible.

And one of the things we think would do that would be to arrange a limo one evening to take us out to dinner or a show. They always point out a limo when they see it on the road here in the UK, so we reckon they'd be thrilled to actually get to ride in one. We kinda like the idea of getting a huge big limo, then making the kids think we are stopping to get dinner at somewhere like a Ponderosa... before carrying on to somewhere a little more exclusive ! I bet their faces would be a picture ! ;)

So, I'm seeking any advice you folks can give me as to which company/s would be a good bet to arrange this with, to get some idea of what an evenings limo hire might cost, and maybe even an idea or two about a good place to take the boys that night.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks !

I'll toss out a couple of suggestions on both fronts. Since you want to do a limo ride, here are a couple of offsite suggestions for dinner:
Instead of doing a buffet like Ponderosa, you might want to look into a dinner show such as Arabian Nights or the Dixie Stampede. Dixie Stampede is having a special Christmas show. I've never seen the holiday show, but I've been to their regular show in Tennessee a couple of times and it's lots of fun. I think the kids would really enjoy it. Both Dixie and Arabian Nights have real horses in the shows. Arabian Nights usually has a coupon in the local books that you get at the airport, but I haven't seen a Dixie Stampede coupon yet...probably because they opened recently.
If you just want dinner and no show, Logan's Roadhouse is an excellent steakhouse. There are buckets of peanuts on the tables, and you just toss the shells on the floors, which kids love. We go to the one on 192, near Celebration. And speaking of Celebration, that's another option. Market Street Cafe is an excellent art deco diner. If you take a limo, you can have them leave you there and explore for a while too. Again, a great place with kids. They have nightly snowfalls, carriage rides, etc.
Second, for a limo, we use Happy Limo a lot. Usually we just book a towncar, but in Sept. we travelled with some friends so we got a limo. It was a gorgeous white stretch limo with fiber optic lighting inside, and they provided cold drinks and a DVD player with movies. Our friends' teenage son got a real kick out of it. I have a coupon for Happy on my website, although it's for Port Canaveral and WDW transportation. But you could email them and ask if there is any special rate for a local trip...it never hurts to ask!

I HIGHLY recommend getting Jimmy--you can call him direct at 407.869.9007. He's WONDERFUL, we used him for our four leg journey in 2002, and have kept in touch since then.

Lots of other's on these boards have nothing but praise for him as well.

There's photo's of his white stretch both inside and out on my cruise link in my sig below.
