Hello, I am surprising the family with a limo pickup to take us to the airport for our 6am (yuck!) flight. I am currently holding a rez with one company, and its a little pricey. Just wondering if anyone on here has any experience with a limo service to Logan. We're right outside the airport practically- just about a 10 minute drive. Thanks!

We used Boston Coach, but we were about an hour from Logan.

Boston Coach is great! I used them a few weeks ago, but they are pricey....but then again all limo/sedan bookings in Boston are pricey. :)

I went from the Sheraton (Boston) to Logan, maybe a 15 minute trip....it was approx $90.00 plus tip for a towncar.

Wow ....that is a lot. I got a couple of quotes for town cars right around $40 plus tip.

HOLY MOLY! I just did an online quote for Boston Coach and they quoted $333!!!! Thats for a limo, not a town car. I cant get over that. I literally live6 miles from the airport.

Don't laugh - do you know anyone that works for a Funeral Parlor??? They sometimes rent through word of mouth, when not needed for a funeral. So naturally you can't book too far in advance.

Seems to be some confusion....are you looking for a towncar or a limo?? Because if you are truly looking for a limo, it is going to be expensive.

Looking for a limo, as I think it will be more exciting for the kids. However, at $333 for a limo... I would consider a town car or SUV possibly. I know its an early a.m. flight so it might be more, but Im 6 miles away. I dont think it should be a crazy amount.

I think part of the cost is going to be the accounting for the drive to your home, which could be distant depending on where the company is located, then an empty car going back to the 'garage'. It isn't like a cab that charges you for the actual time in the cab. You are basically paying for the time that they leave the garage until the time they return to it.

One thing to remember about Boston Coach is they cater to businesses, and corporate accounts will pay a heck of a lot more than some of the smaller, independently owned places.

I've been using A Touch of Elegance out of Wakefield for my trips to the airport. I live about 12 miles from Logan, and it runs me about $65 plus tip one way for a towncar. The cost is 781-246-1648. They also offer limos, but I don't know what the pricing is. I have found that they are reliable, and the town cars are immaculate. The drivers are very friendly.

Are you renting a car when you go to Disney? Maybe you can arrange going in a limo from the airport to your resort. It will be a longer ride, and in my opinion, a much more special surprise than a 10 minute ride from the house to Logan. Just a thought :)

Before the days of free ME service, I had lots of clients that would opt for a limo pick up at MCO for their ride to Disney. Not super expensive, and the kids always get a kick out of the driver holding a sign with their name on it and the "special" ride to Mickey's house.

Thats a really good idea...hadnt even thought of that. Thanks....Im going to look into it!

Try Jeff's Transportation (617) 325-8144. They're based in Dedham. We've used them many times for airport transportation (we're 20-30 min from Logan). We usually get a van or an SUV, but there were a few times when our requested vehicle was unavailable, so we got the limo. I never thought I'd be installing a carseat in a limo, but I've done it 3 times now!

I just checked the one way limo rate using the FL Tours link above, and it came to $117 plus a 20% tip. Not too bad.
