I've read about all the shuttle options, and my control freak self has decided getting a limo is a better choice for my family.

Anyone have a good recommendation?

Thanks!

Waiting for you at baggage claim, stop at grocery store in the way to hotel, provided child seats if needed, excellent service. Not having to depart 2 hours earlier on the shuttle to reach LAX on time for departure, in my opinion, was the best part! More sleep!

I am looking at using DK Livery as well.

I have a question: we are staying at the DLH and arrive at 8:30am. I know our room will not be ready and I am okay with that. I want the grocery stop to pick up water, Diet Coke, and milk. Can Bell Services keep things refridgerated for us?

Thanks!

I used limos.com They comparison shop for you and show all of the options that are available. Had zero problems and on the return trip they provided us with a stretch Hummer because that was all they had available at the time, no extra cost to me. I was MORTIFIED, but my kids were over the moon at
looking like "rockstars." Guess I should refer to this as Pixie Dust (lol) :wizard:

If you do use them, google for promo codes because one is usually available.

:thumbsup2 Great idea to use a limo service! We hated every single shuttle we tried. They are all horrible unless you luck out one day and get a decent driver. We used a private limo last time (I can't remember his name...) and although he had to cancel our trip back due to a "family emergency", it was SO much more relaxing, especially for such a long drive.

Used Execucar last month for the four of us. Reasonably prices, the service was great and we prepaid the tip online when we booked for less hassle.

Yes, they can refrigerate items for you. When you check your bags, just let them know which ones need to be kept cold.

We've also used DK Livery several times and we've almost always been happy with their service. Never gotten a limo, but their towncars and SUV are very nice. The drivers have always been prompt and polite. (Full disclosure - we did have one bad trip, but they've more than made it up to us.)

Yes, yes, yes! We used them our trip this month and they were great. The drivers were great, on time, drove clean cars, and helped us with our luggage. We would most certainly use them again.

We chose SUVs but you can choose a limo I believe.

Another vote for DK Livery (golansky.com)! Excellent service. We used the SUV. They were very professional and prompt and had a grocery stop along the way. I even messed up on our pickup date for departure. When I realized my mistake, they quickly sent us out another driver and helped us get to LAX on time for our flight.

Does anyone mind saying what the rough cost is for a limo from LAX to any Good Neighbor hotel?

Thanks so much for your replies! An SUV is great - I just want to avoid the stress of the shuttles.

How early do I need to book?

Glad to hear all the good feedback on DK Livery. I've booked them for our upcoming trip next month.

I also vote for DK livery, sent a request for a quote, and had one in my in box, in less than an hour. Similar prices to other services, and it is door to door.

With the Grocery stop, is there particular place that one would recommend that we ask that they stop at? Are there any on the way that have a pharmacy attached to them, and are open at around 10:30 - 11 PM at night?

I have to get distilled water for a CPAP machine, and also some Bromine to keep the tummy less queazy on the rides.

Tomato - Disneyland Resort bus prices start at $30.00 one way, $48 return. This will have stops at hotels on the way.

Limo/van services are a variety of prices. I have seen as low as $90 one way.

I got a quote for $175, includes transport for 4 adults, both ways for a private car/sedan, including a stop at a grocery store, I am happy with this price.

There is a link at the top of the Forum page for Transportation, click on the Ground Transportation link, this is a great resource.

All the major transport companies (that are recommmended) are listed.

I've seen people mention stopping at Vons. We asked to stop at Trader Joes but that wouldn't work for you as they don't have a pharmacy.

You can email and ask Daniel at DK and he'll give you a recommendation. He was always very prompt and helpful with any questions I had.

Thanks for the information.

Here's a dumb question . . .

When the information says, "Flat rate inclusive driver gratuity," does that mean the tip is included in the price? It seems too good to be true!

I asked this of the company I'm using (Best Chauffeured Worldwide) and they said yes, gratuity is included but you're welcome to torp extra if you want.

Thank you! I found the wording a little confusing!!

We went ahead and booked DKlivery, based on the recommendations here. We're very excited because this also solves our issue with wanting to make a quick stop at a grocery store and now we don't need to worry about holding a cab while we're there! Awesome!
