Heard a rumor that you are only allowed 3 fast passes per day. Can anyone corroborate? We were there for four days from Feb to April and don't remember anything like that, or it just didn't apply in our case. Just want to be in the know. Is there a limit per park? (Like 3 per park and then you can hop to another and have another 3?) I don't think its that big a deal because we really work the phone app and plan the lines and wait times and sometimes fast passes are irrelevant (dining reservations etc.)

Anyway, please update. I try to keep up to date with what's going on with the parks and we will be there in 3 months woohoo! But I think part of the family is trying to de-value the parks because of the prices and they said 'did you know you can only get three FP a day? You should call so and so.'

I trust you guys A LOT more than so and so!

Also does every one get magic bands? We are only doing 2 base days so is it different then doing the ticket in and at and one so many per hour? What if you don't get a band and don't stay on property?

3 per day, all at the same park, no repeats.

Yes, on the new FP+ system you can only have 3 fast passes per day and you are limited to one park a day. Meaning, you cannot use 1 FP at Mk and 2 at DHS. If you do Fast Pass+ at one park, that is the only park you can get fast passes for THAT DAY.

You prebook your fast passes either on MDE if you are staying onsite, or you can do it the day of at a kiosk in the park. Once your selections are made, you can adjust the times and your choices (upon availability.)

In short, you are limited to 3 FP+ per day, and those includes any FP you may want for fireworks and character meets. Currently, Epcot and DHS has a tiered system where you may only get 1 FP+ for the highly sought after rides (Tier 1) and 2 of the Tier 2 rides. You may only get 3 FP+ at any ONE given park meaning you cannot get one FP+ at MK and then 2 at Epcot.

Everyone is getting Magic Bands, but only Disney resort guests get to reserve their FP+ in advance. Those staying off site must wait until they get to the park to make their FP+ reservations.

Yes, with the new FP+ system, you only get three per day. Do a search on FP+, there will be more info than you ever wanted to know. There is a poster who has links in his signature, but I can't remember who it is right now.

I just don't think its that big a deal. Half the time, we got on the ride already due to checking the times on the phone app and sometimes we would give the fast passes away or the recall time would be when we would have hopped or had dinner or something. I guess it would during peak time but we never go then. Hope it works OK in May. I know I can still get my two days moneys worth. However it makes me less inclined to pay for hopping.

Can you get all 3 for the same attraction?

Definitely not in the tiered parks. I believe the answer is no for the non tiered one as well. I think the system doesn't even give you the option to select the same attraction again once you picked a time for it.

Check out this thread for more information. The link in my signature will give you press releases and stories.

As of right now, yes there is a limit of 3 fastpass+ per day. Some of the parks, also have the rides tiered. EXAMPLE in EPCOT you can only choose one out of Tier one which contains BOTH Test Track and Soarin' . Then pick the other two from the other Tier. The same with DHS..Rock'n'roller coaster, Tower of Terror and Toy Story Midway Mania are all one Tier so you get one of the 3. Then the other 2 FP+ come from the rest.

I have yet to see or hear anything about them giving the bonus FP+ at MK in awhile so I think that is either done or it depends on crowd levels.

That's one thing I really miss about the Legacy system. I had a few FP given to me the last time we went and it was such a nice treat. Plus it was a bright reminder of how good some people can be when you're among the sea of sweaty hurried bodies all rushing around to get to this ride and that, grumpy from the heat and wait times, etc. Technically, they're still testing FP+. Hopefully they'll iron it out even more by May.

So much for giving someone a magical moment with leftover FP's on your way out. Disney only want to give "their" magical moments.

Only Disney Resort guests get MagicBands. There is indication AP holders will begin to get them. If you stay offsite you can just use your park ticket at the FP+ stations, they are enabled with RF chips for that.
