Actually, that's more of a component of LTM, as selling a special hat (known as the "Year of the Ear") each month will continue all year. While I'm not in to the mouse ears thing (kids are beyond that age, though we do wear them at times), I think it's a creative idea. January's ear is a "couture ear". Does anyone know what that means?

This week's LTM event (ends tomorrow) is "Bling in the New Year", which I found to be somewhat lame. The daytime party on 12/30 was so-so, but the nighttime party was horrible. It was in a parking lot and there were approximately three people there. The DJ wasn't that good either "come on y'all. it's your night, your kingdom".

Thanks for the link. Didn't know there would be 5 of them. I thought there would be one a month. Wanted to collect all of them. Guess I need to rethink that plan.

I wish they'd get it in gear and announce what's happening next week! We're heading down tomorrow (first day in the parks will probably be Sunday - but we might decide to slip in Saturday - we have APs). It would be nice to know what to expect - at this rate I feel like I'm going to have to drop by Guest Relations to ask!

Not every LTM thing is going to be huge and splashy. Some are going to be merchandise things, like limited edition pins or ears. That may not excite you, but the people who like that kind of thing will be thrilled.

Me, personally? Not all that excited about "long lost characters". But I know other people who are ready to hop on a plane with 24 hours notice if it means they get to meet some character they don't have in their autograph book yet.

i agree not everything has to be big and splashy but they could at least clue us in to what it will be. jeez, the next one starts sunday and nobody knows what it will be yet? how will people even know what their special "thing" is if they dont announce ahead of timee? will they have special flyers in the parks?
