Limited room availability for August 2019?

Hi all,

Does anyone know if Disney has already released full room availability for next August? At the moment it’s only coming up with limited options (I.e. no standard view rooms at many deluxe resorts, etc). Last year around March time August had loads of availability so I’m hoping it’s just a case of most rooms not being released yet?

Disney does not hold back rooms and release periodically. So no, they will not release more later.
Folks do cancel and occasionally at Convention Resort some not booked Convention rooms are released so keep checking

People make and cancel resort reservations all of the time. Check back as often as possible to look for updated availability. I'm sure something will come your way eventually.

I had to take limited availability last Nov for the Poly for this Nov, at that time a year away. Availability is really nuts this year. Good luck.

Have you tried different dates? Maybe your dates are overlapping a big convention.

If it’s later Aug you should check for TAs for standard deluxe rooms.

People are pushing out their summer vacations, hoping Galaxy’s Edge is open or in previews.

Thanks all - in that case hopefully more will come up when people make cancellations. I remember BCV was sold out for my trip earlier this month initially but 1 and 2 bedroom villas later came available, so hopefully similar will happen this year. We are pretty fixed with dates due to school dates unfortunately.
