Hopefully I can be brief--what a great source for info.
I'm just back from WDW in May, and told my sis all about our great trip---love her so. Anyway, she has MS, can walk, but very limited. Mostly uses the electric scooter. She would like to go in a year with us, and I am wondering...
1) Does she really have to park her scooter, and walk through the lines? Does she just take her scooter in line with her?
2) I'm worried about her being tired--can a cast member help to get her through a line more quickly?
3) Is it true that parking is free for her if she brings her handicapped parking pass with her? She might not be able to bring her Van, and we may rent one in Orlando. Just seeing if I can save a dollar there to offset renting a scooter.
Any other tips for those who know??

Thank you Disney Family!!!

Iowagirl, many of the queues are mainstream-access now, and her scooter can go right on in. There are alternate entrances at other attractions.

I have put together a Disabilities FAQ that has links to accessibility information as well as other tips that might make your trip planning easier. There are downloadable files of the official Guidebooks for Guests with Disabilities, the links are there. There are also links to official and unofficial pages with information that you might need. You should ffeel free to ask questions - the FAQ is just a starting point.

Besides what teri posted, here's a link to the DIS page for people with mobility disabilities. It list the rides where you can stay in the ecv for the whole ride. As teri mentioned, even if the ecv can't come in the ride/show with you, you can usually bring the ecv into the line and park it at the boarding area.
For parking a van or car at the parks, if you are staying on site or any of you have an AP, you will have free parking. If she has a handicapped parking permit, she will be able to park in the handicapped parking area, but she'll still need to pay if she's staying off site.
