Limited Edition Princess Dress

Anyone else out there crazy, and actually tried to justify buying their little girl a limited edition princess dress? I really love the Rapunzel limited edition wedding gown, I think it is so pretty. I've talked about it to DH a couple of times. Then over the weekend at the Disney store they had 1 left in her size and I said it's our last chance to buy it.. Only half joking Then he asked, "How much use would it get?" Of course I had a response ready, "2 little girls would get to wear it for Halloween, on vacation, and dress up." His response, "okay."
What?! Even I know that's crazy, and I said, "no way that's stupid." And we walked away. I'm still in love, maybe I'll consider the Cinderella one. After all that one isn't white.
BTW I'm aware this is off topic! I put it here because I know even budget minded people have crazy thoughts about what they would buy if money wasn't an issue.

We dont buy our kids stuff very often. They get a gift on their birthday and quite a few gifts on Christmas. They get Easter baskets with a couple small gifts, and they get new Halloween Costumes each year. Those are the only times DH and I buy them anything that is not a need. Even when we go on vacation, they save their own spending money. With that in mind, if one of them wanted a limited edition princess dress for their "main" Christmas gift, I would buy it (as long as it was within our Christmas budget). That would probably be the only circumstance that they would get it.

Heck no. If I were going to spend that kind of $ on a princess dress I'd find a seamstress to make it custom. (I am basing this on the $150 Cinderella 'limited edition' dress.)
