Limited Edition pins sold where exactly?

Newbie here. I am confused about how the limited edition pins work. For example, if I see a pin on disneyparksmerchandise with a posted release date and specified edition size (e.g. 250), and it says Walt Disney World Resort as location, where exactly are these sold? Are there particular stores in specific parks or hotels that have specific numbers of these pins and is this information available to the public? Thanks for any info!

In general LE pins are sold at all of the major pin stores in each park and at the main pin store in DTD. I have seen some of the LE pins at the main gift shops in each resort, but they won't all have all of the pins. Basically, your best bet is the pin shop in DTD and the shops in the parks.

Also, the Contemporary gift shop on the fourth floor is a good place to shop for LE pins. The will have the larger release LE pins.

Good info here. We bought the AP LE pin at DTD and had to ask which AP pins they had. They were kept behind the sales counter.

I found some LE pins at epcot they were the flower and garden 2014 LE pins, and when i was staying at pop century they had those spectro magic LE pins, I had to control myself and not buy every single one
