Okay, We have a limited budget for Disney. We have our room taken care of thanks to family timeshare points--- but need to buy our tickets.
My kids are 7 and 5 and this is only their 2x there. . they were 2 and 4 last time and only went to MK.

Here is my question.. . .
We are not big halloween people but have heard great things about the MNSSHP that we consider going during our October visit.

We have looked at getting our Tickets on Undercover Tourist and they have a 4 day ticket- get a 5th day free for only $78 total. . . so I am leaning towards doing that and getting more park days- verses buying the 3 day ticket package and MNSSHP tickets (over $200 for us)

What would you do? Is MNSSHP worth it?

Are you sure the 5 day ticket is only $78.00? I see it as $287.99 for a child's ticket for 4 day with 5th day free.

Anyhow, although my family truly enjoyed the Halloween party and I would recommend doing it at least once, I don't want to lead you into spending more considering you mentioned you are on a limited budget. As the kids get older, it will become harder to take them out of school to enjoy this festivity. We went when DD was in grade school and so glad we did. We have not been able to go since then.

Having said that, we are big on sticking to a budget type of family. I would not spend what I don't have. Is it possible to cut back somewhere else to make up for the cost of the party? If not, I'd opt for additional park days and not even mention the MNSSHP to the kids. They will have a blast with the many other things there are to enjoy!

Have Fun with whatever you decide to do!

How many days total are you going to be there?

Personally, we love MNSSHP - the parade is great, the fireworks are awesome, DS loves villains and gets to see a bunch of them, the trick or treating is good and you can get on rides if you want. Plus, the past 2 years we've gone, even though MNSSHP starts at 7pm they start letting ticket holders in around 4pm giving you some extra time in the park for rides and such.

BUT, budget is a top priority and 3 days vs. 5 days is a big difference. And even though they let you in early for MNSSHP it's hard to get a full-days worth of MK activities in during that time and MNSSHP.

Though I love MNSSHP and highly recommend it, if going means you will have only 3 full park days and the party as opposed to 5 full park days then I'd say go for the 5 days assuming you will be at Disney for 5 full days. If you are not getting PH (which I am assuming you aren't) then this gives you 1 full day for each park and a 2nd day for your favorite park - which for most is MK.

If you are getting PH on either 3 or 4/5 day passes. Then I would highly recommend you get the 4/5 day ticket without PH and us the money you save from no PH for MNSSHP tickets..

Either way, you'll have a great time!

I'm sorry, but your numbers on the cost if tickets is WAAAAAYY off base. A 4 day, get the fifth free is over $300 for adults and $280 for children. I have no idea where you got the $78 from. Even a 1 day ticket costs more than that.

That might be the difference in price between the 3 day tickets and 5 day ones for the family.

I would say go for the higher number of days vs MNSSHP. It is a fun party, but 2 extra days is much more "bang for your buck" on a budget.
