After calculating how much money we will need on our trip ($2500), and since I don't want to bring cash, can I just attach my credit card to the KTTW? We are splitting our stay between BLT and AKL for 10 days. I think I read that you can only put as much as $1500. on your KTTW. Is this correct? IF so, can I put 1500 on it at the two separate resorts, giving me 3000. to play with?

Actually, the way it works is when you check in to a Deluxe Resort and will be using a debit or credit card they will put a $1,500 hold on the card ($500 at Value or $1,000 in moderate). When you check out they will process the charge and release the hold. So when you check in to the second Resort they will start again.

Also, unless you ask otherwise, when the balance is close to the limit, during the nightly processing they will then process the current balance and get a fresh authorization.

And I have had times when someone comes to my window to buy (or upgrade) tickets and the system tells me their credit limit has been reached. I will call their Resort and they will immediately process what is on the account and get a new authorization, and within a minute I can try the sale again and it will process.

exceeded our initial limit once. It probably happened when we paid for a Crystal Palace dinner but it wasn't brought up until we were buying merchandise at Pirates of the Caribbean.

The CM got a manager who pulled us to the side and called the resort. She processed our purchase on a closed register after the call so there was really no delay for us.

I make a point to stop at the desk (we stay Club Level, so I stop at the Club Level Concierge desk, it might be different for different resorts/rooms) every couple days when I think we have come close to the $1500 and "clear" it so it re-sets to another $1500. It just takes a minute or two, so it's not a major hassle. Since you are switching resorts midstay, you probably wont need to do this extra step if you watch your charges you will know when/if you need to stop and reset it.

Of course, you are always free to just use another credit card instead of your KTTW if you are worried about hitting the limit Disney imposes (or cash or whatever other payment form you may choose). I usually carry the KTTW and one other card like my debit card "just in case". Of course, I also always have a bit of cash on me too.
