We are on a budget. So... is it ok for us to book stays like at ASM? Does ASM have a nicer honeymoon suite we could get upgraded to for free?
Anyone else done this on a tight budget? I mean, I want other things like the MK photo shoot.... super nice hotel? Couldn't really care less!
Iheartmypanda, I had a custom Vow Renewal three years ago. I had to guarantee a certain number of rooms in my "room block" (
part of having a custom event). I chose one hotel from each category -- Deluxe, Moderate, and Value. In the Value category, my selection was the All-Star Music Resort. It sounds to me like you might be planning an "Escape" wedding?? Please double-check with the FTW folks, but I bet a stay at the ASM is possible for an Escape wedding. They'll tell you for certain. Never be afraid to ask them any of your questions. They love to help.
As to the All-Star Resorts, they don't have honeymoon suites. But they do have "family suites" -- those are primarily booked by families with more than four members in their party
(five or sometimes six, if there is a small child). Here is some info on them if you have more than four in your party :

I have stayed in every single one of Disney's resorts in both
Disneyland and Walt Disney World. I have also stayed in a few suites, too, including a 2,400 square foot suite at the Yacht Club. I can honestly tell you that each of my family's stays in each of Disney's resorts were wonderful. Yes, some of the rooms were on the small-side (Value Resorts) while other rooms were on the large-side (Deluxe Resorts). But we knew that heading into our vacations. We also knew that each resort would offer us something a little different to experience. We were never disappointed. It honestly was a lot of fun staying in all of those resorts (
and most of them we have stayed in multiple times).
I do have some of my photos shared in an on-line photo album. However, I don't have all of them shared to the "public" just yet
(they were transferred to Flickr this summer and most of them are still marked "private"). I don't know if viewing them will help, but here's a link to them anyway:
click here. I do have some photos shared of all three of the All-Star resorts.
Can a FTW be held on a budget. Yes. There are many here who have done so and their events have turned out wonderfully. As long as you determine what is really & truly important to you & your fiance, you shouldn't have a problem coming in on budget. But I'm not going to kid you that determining what you really & truly want is easy. Heck, no! Disney makes it awfully easy to spend your hard-earned dollars. They're pro's at it.
