Limewire???

My friend has it and she said she has gotten everything she downloaded
Maybe for some people it's safe (even though it's illegal), but for others its harmful


I guess I'll just stick to iTunes

I think i might take the opinion that its a virus causer.
Cause it makes my sisters computer crash ALL the time.

Get a good AV program like Avast AntiVirus and you'll be fine from most viruses. If you get a virus Avast will pick it up and you can delete it no big deal. Have Avast Update itself and then you wont have to worry about being out of date. Its free and legal so don't worry. If you get music from bands not under RIAA you are fine. RIAA does a horrible job keeping up to date labels that are signed under them so if you go to there website and you see a label that is not under it you are fine.
Get Spybot Search and Destroy and Avast Antivirus and you'll be safe from 99% of the bad things out there.

lol lots of mis-leading info in here.. ok.. limewire itself is not illegal to have... its not a US-based program and is therefore, not under any US laws really... plus, the program itself doesnt do anything illegal.. it just connects people to eachother... however, what you use that connection for is a different story.. and the program itself wont give you viruses.. however, what you download can... ONLY download audio files (mp3, wav, wma) or windows video files (wmv and avi)... other files such as programs (exe) and quicktime (movie) usually contain viruses or spyware.. also, if you DO get a bad virus, you dont have to completely destroy your pc and trash it like some have said lol.. you just have to recover it (itll erase everything on your harddrive and will put everything back to like when you just bought it).... viruses are programs, and this completely erases them..... and if you do intend to use limewire, move all of the files that you dl out of your shared folder and put it into a different folder... as long as your shared folder is empty, they cant really track you... so i hope that helps any limewire users... really, you just have to be smart about what your downloading... stick to strictly audio or video files and youll be fine.. but still, if you really like an artist, you should just go out and buy their cd... the more money they make, the more goodies they put out

Limewire is illegail and i don't think you can download it any they got removed from the intranet because they had you pay if you wanted faster downloads
you are better to go with i tunes

Use utorrent and download torrents from mininova.org much better than using google and safer.
