For several years now, wearing lime green ribbons has been the "official" way to identify ourselves as DISers. I have worn them on every trip and have been spotted every time. And I have also spotted several others myself. For the past two trips I have upgraded my noticeablitily to also wearing a DIS t-shirt one day and also have the Home Depot green Mickey head paint chip laminated and tied to my waist pouch. I usually purchase lime green (or the closest I can get to that color green) curling ribbon. I cut several short lengths, curl them, and then tie them together and attach it to both front and back of my waist pouch (so they can been seen in both directions). I also have the ribbons tied to my luggage, but no one has ever spotted those. (But I always look for them at MCO as the luggage comes off the conveyor).

This is my first year knowing about the lime green ribbons. I did buy a shirt that is lime green and white. I guess I will go and buy lime green ribbon and tie it to my stroller. I will for sure be on the look out when we are there next week!!!!!!!!!

I've worn my lime green ribbons for years. In my hair, on my back pack, and on my lanyard and also I wear a lime green shirt. I've had many stare and smile and only two I've have spoken too.

To be honest, in several trips to WDW I have never noticed any lime green ribbons. On the other hand, I never looked for them either at WDW.

On our last Disney Cruise we did see several cabins with DIS signs on their doors.

Lime green clothing in and of itself is NOT a good indicator since it's such a popular color the past couple of years...especially in summer wear. Twice I approached families all in the same green shirts and they had no clue what I was talking about. From now on, I'm only going to say hi to those wearing DIS clothes or ribbons!

I have the lime ribbon on my luggage too!!! It's duel purpose. One to recognize my very popular, standard looking black luggage. Two- the signify the DIS.

I also have tons of lime ribbon on our backpack that we take everywhere when at Disney. We have yet to be noticed though. I've also never noticed anyone else.

I put a lime green Mickey Head on my backpack in December and met two DISers b/c of it.

On this last trip, I was on the lookout for some lime green but never saw anyone.

Oh well, I'll try again in July! :teeth:

I haven't worn the lime green ribbons yet but I look for others wearing them every trip and I haven't noticed any. I'll keep watching.

Last year I had lime green ribbons hanging from our strollers and from my mini backpack. Nothing. I did see a stroller parked with the lime green ribbons hanging from it but that was as close as I got. Hoping this year will be different.

I met a DIS'er in Nov who had Limegreen ribbon on their stroller. I felt very silly asking but luckily they were from the DIS. Years ago I met someone on the monorail going to the TTC who was from the DIS.

Just this past January when I went to WDW for the WDW 1/2 marathon with a bunch of other DIS'ers from the WISH board most of us had Lime green Mickey head's with lime green ribbon. I definately saw lots of lime green that weekend but we had meets. I wore my name tag but I didn't have anyone else from the boards comment on it, or meet any one outside our group with them on.

We had lime green curling ribbons on our stroller last year. While we were not approached by other DISers, we were able to easily pick our stroller out of a line-up. :wave2:

Ok, I will go get some ribbon and put it on our back pack and strollers. We are driving so I wont bother w/the luggage!! I will look for Disers!!

were ready ,,,were ready,,,,were ready,,,, :cool1: :Pinkbounc   :bounce: :wave2:

I always wear mine, although I have never been spotted. I will have mine on tomorrow. :rotfl2:

OK this year you will be spotted. I will try to find some ribbon for our diaper bag and will put that lime green mickey chip on my stroller. With the tips you/ve shared with us and that we'll be at the GF at the same time- I am sure we will see each other someplace(Probably monorail) With all the kiddos we should be hard to miss. ds(11) dd(7) ds(2) ds(5mths)
LOL because I just saw you are from NJ- us too! Are you flying or driving? We are driving this time because of the little one. But I hear that they are adding a direct flight from the Allentown PA airport again. That was always our favorite way to go in the past.

I wore my lime green HD Mickey Heads one day. I had them attached to my backpack. I left the backpack in the room every other day, because I didn't feel like lugging it around anymore. I didn't see anyone else wearing lime green, but I'm not one to notice what other people are wearing.

I made a really cool DIS button last year! Couldn't wait to wear it to the parks and spot other DISers. But....I left it in my car at home! :guilty:

We were so caught up in being there that I really didn't look for lime green.

When we were there last,2001 I DID make a point to look for them, and I think I only saw 1 or 2, real disapointed :guilty:

Will have green Mickey head on black back pack next Mon 2/6-2/11 Fri in WDW

Will look for others

This past Nov/Dec trip I wore a lime green ribbion on my backpack everyday of our trip it wasn't till our lst night on the bus returning to AKL was I spotted and by a DIS board moderator to boot. It was like meeting royality :wave2: We talked about the dis and the fact that she was a moderator for the cruiseline boards I think she even talked me into a cruise. So I will be wearing my ribbion next vac you never know who you will meet

I wore a ribbon on my shirt, a ribbon on DD's stroller and she wore one in her hair most of the time.

But although I once saw what had to be Disers (covered in ribbons)...they were motoring up Main Street and didn't hear me say hi. (Didn't want to chase them down). But next time I'll get the DIS shirt!
