Lime green mickey heads?

I'd like to see a post where people show how the used the little green mouse heads.

Like did they make them into a tag for their stroller.. a clip on for their backpack.. ect.

I need ideas on what to do with my green mickey.:goodvibes

Hey, Jessica! I recongize your pic from BBC lol! I'm known as crazyfordlr over there.

Hi, Susan! I know there are quite a few BBCers over here, so I figure I'll keep my SN and siggy pic the same here since I am just getting started! LOL

I saw on your ticker that you are going to DL in 4 days- we are going to be there on Sunday! Just a day trip- too broke to do the whole getaway vacation thing!

Jessica

I put my LGM on a thick piece of cardboard and then laminated it. Cut a hole in the top of the cardboard and strung a lime green and white polka dots ribbon through it and tied it to my "park bag", aka back pack.
As I stated in a previous thread, I had a gal stop me last Oct. and share that she was a DIS member. Unfortunately, we couldn't talk long as the other members of our party were on a mission to get somewhere. Hope to meet others when we go in late Oct. :thumbsup2

I used a keyring and put it on my backpack...JC

thats too cute!!!! where'd you get the little black and silver mickey heads? Are they beads?

Thank you all for your kind words...I bought everything to make the LGMH's from Michaels...the black Mickeys are buttons...silver beads and lime green ribbon from the $1.00 bin...I seem to be the only one who will buy the lime green ribbon :lmao: The are strung on a keyring so it is easy on and off...I also glue two Mickey heads together...again thank you...JC

OK, so any suggestions for a non back pack wearing male? I can't think of a place to put it outside of pinning it on your shirt or wearing a lanyard.

Maybe I'll fix one to my hat and see if anyone notices when we are there next week.

Oh you guys are just babies! I am turning 40 in December and I have about 15 different tinkerbell backpacks, totes and purses!!!

Me too!!! I have Winnie the Pooh backpacks though and I don't think that I have 15 of them but pretty close to that many(maybe a dozen.)

On the other hand if you count non backpack bags then yes I have exceeded 15.

Disneyanajc...those are sooo cute..you should make them and sell them on ebay! Cute as can be!:thumbsup2

I bet a red white and black one would be adorable for sale.

Thank You for posting the pictures.

I'll post mine when I make them.. I want to put pixie dust on mine.. trim the lime green with a kelly green glitter or a clearish glitter. hhmmm on second thought i might paint the edges with a clear sparkle nailpolish as that wouldn't "shed" glitter.. but then again that's cute..so who knows.:rotfl:

Yours turned out so adorable I can't wait to get started.:goodvibes

i just went and got a bunch of these in all kinds of colors..they are super cute:goodvibes i cant wait to find a way to sport em';) you guys have some GREAT ideas:goodvibes

i was even asked if people live in grass huts in hawaii :scared1:

:rotfl2: when i went to washington D.C. back in the early 90s, someone asked me the same thing. i told them "yes, i live in a grass hut on the beach, and i even had to sell my grass skirt and coconut shells to buy my ticket to go to D.C."...and they believed me! LOL!

You wouldn't believe how many dumb Alaska questions I've been asked. I lived there all my life, and moved to the states when I was 17. It got to the point to where I'd say, "I'm from AK. I live in an ice castle and it is dark all the time."

Ha!! We're sometimes asked if we live in igloos because we live in Canada. Sure do, eh!! :thumbsup2 .

So it's not only us. Asking about kangaroos over the bridge at lunch time and as pets is fairly common as to questions about koala's in our back yards in the middle of the city. And "wow you have good English" thinking that we say Austria not Australia!!!! In all seriousness though, it's the DropBears you need to watch :rotfl:

I'm not sure if anyone else does this but I have a lgmh on my myspace. This is what I use, and since my myspace is public (mostly), everyone can see it.

I just picked up some lime green mickey head's!!:woohoo: I feel so in the loop now:rotfl:
Hubby couldn't believe that I went to Home Depot to just pick up paint chips:laughing:

Yeah, at this point my DH pretty much thinks I'm certifiable. ::yes:: Especially when I come home from Home Depot and shamefacedly dig out of my purse a dozen Mickey paint chips in varied colors. :rotfl:

"Whatever makes you happy, dear." :sad2:

The DIS has been around for quite some time, as you guys know, and I think around 2000 or so there had been several meets by then, and people wanted to know when other DISers were in the parks, so on the Community Board one day someone suggested choosing a color to identify other DISERs. Remember how popular yellow ribbons were? and then other colors were popular, like pink for breast cancer, red for AIDS, etc., so the idea came up about having ribbons in a certain color. A poll was put up, and the color that won was lime-green.

So, people started wearing lime-green ribbons, tieing them to their backpacks, etc. I used to put them in my hair. Back in 2001 we had our first Disneyland Meet, and it was a nice size. Tink33 made strings with beads on them with our names and lime-green beads. I still have and wear mine when I go to DL. :)

Well, then, someone discovered that Home Depot had "lime-green" Mickey Heads (LGMH), and DISers have pretty much chosen those to display and show their DISiness. :teeth:
