What do people use these for?

I think people use them as tags on their backpacks they carry while in the parks to identify themselves at DISers. They're also small enough that I'm going to use them as part of my luggage tag. I saw a gentleman last November in MK with homemade lime green Mickey ears, and we struck up a conversation....mostly about Delswife's trip report...but it was nice to talk to a fellow DISer.

They are paint color samples for the Disney line of Behr paint in the paint dept.

Last week I ran out to my local HD to get my Lime green mickey heads and (being so literal) I was surprised not to find one labeled "Lime Green". So I grabbed a handful each of Alien Green and Sonic Boom and posted a question here about whether my HD just didn't carry the Lime Green ones or if one of the other 2 colors was the "official" color...LOL. Now, either way, we're set to go!

BTW, do people write their screen names on the mickey heads?

I was looking for "Lime" too, not "Alien"!!! Silly me!!!

The man I saw in Main Street with his lime green Mickey just had "DISer" and I think his state - no name though.

My husband saw all the Mickey's and looked at me quizzically. I explained and he thought it was really cool and said "You are keeping some for us, right?" We're not leaving till December, so I'll go back to Home Depot before then and get 6 more for us.

I know my kids and DH will think I"m nuts when I start attaching the mickey heads to our backpack, their water bottles, belt loops etc...

We're not leaving until Nov 7th but last night I was already thinking about the fact that I have about 3-4 lime green t-shirts that will definitely make the trip with me! I'm sure my DH will ask why all I'm bringing to wear is green Ts!

Yep...I'm a Klein....I married into it. My maiden name is Pino. Nice half Italian/half Irish girl marries nice little Jewish boy!!! I didn't realize how many ways there were to spell "Klein" till I married him! I grew up in a pretty much all-Italian farming community....the only Klein's I knew were Calvin and Anne!!!

I married into the name as well! Still better much better than my long, polish maiden name!

There were plenty of Kleins in NY where I grew up but not so much in VA!

Yes...I wanted to laminate them. I was hoping Staples or someplace like that would laminate. Or...maybe one of my kids' teacher's will laminate them for me....

I posted a similar question and Oogieboogie replied as follows:

what I do is take 2 heads, glue them together, then get those laminating sheets for business cards that you don't have to use a laminator. Works just fine.

So that might be our answer!

As you can see in my sig pic, DS had one on his shirt. I have (from a previous project) a "make anything a sticker" machine. I pulled the Home Depot Mickey head off the backing and ran it thru and made a sticker out of it. DS's said "1st Visit".
Do you ever wonder if Home Depot notices the shortage of Alien Green Mickey paint samples in their stores?? Think they know what we're doin'?
