What do you do if spot someone wearing lime green at WDW?

Do you just say "hi", introduce yourself and move on? Have you ever had a DISer want to "hang out" with you after meeting?

Just curious. I'd love to meet some DISers, but, like a lot of us, our days are meticulously planned out and I would probably rather not get roped into an impromptu mini DIS meet, if you know what I mean. Nothing personal!

What are some of your lime green experiences, and what do think is appropriate?

I think you say hello and introduce yourself and then just see where the conversation goes. But definitely don't push yourself on someone else don't allow them to do it either. I think most DIS'ers are eager to meet others.

once had a fellow dis-er who was going to be at the all stars at the same time as my family leave a note at the font desk for me. She invited me to call her room if interested in meeting her just to put a face to the name and trade some info.
the meeting was short and sweet. Just a friendly hi - how's your vacation going....how have the crowds been?....just enough.

Did run into someone wearing a lime green ribbon outside of Epcot once while waiting for the park to open. introduced myself and said howdy, but once this person found out i wasn't into pin traiding, i sort of got the impression they wern't interested in small talk. Not rude, but had their own agenda. No problem.

My only encounter with a Lime Green ribbon happened last May while in line for Buzz Lightyear. The DISer (can't remember her name) right in front of me had the ribbon on her belt loop. I simply asked if she was a memeber of DIS. Once she said yes, we told each other our screen names, where we were from, how long we'd been in WDW and that was about it.

We both just viewed it as a friendly way to say hi to someone who happened to hang out in the same message boards on the 'net.

For the first time in all my trips to WDW and as a member of DIS, I will be sporting a lime green ribbon and hopefully a lime green Mickey head attached to it, on my upcoming trip May 3-11. If anyone should notice it, just say "Hey.....Star Wars Guy!".

When we were there in March, as we got off the bus at DTD, there was a family of 4 in front of us. The husband had a jacket with the name of the tv station in our town and the town name right underneath. I asked them if they were from Panama City and they said. I just mentioned that we too were from there and said hi and hoped they were having a good time. Then we went our way and they went theirs.

We have run into a couple people from my husband shop, again we just said hi and asked how they were enjoying their trip.

It would be nice just be put a face to a name, if nothing else.

Star Wars Guy, we will be there 4/30 - 5/4.
