we are talking my dd4 to disneyland for her birthday late aug/ eairly sept. my question is about all the meet and greet places they have to see the princesses, fairies, and repunzle. i will also be with ds8 ds6 and ds1month so i dont wanna spend a whole day in the lines to see those 3 things,as the boys wont care either way.... so i was wondering if anyone had any advice on best times to go or ways to not be waiting all day. we will be there 3 maybe 4 days so would going 1st thing in the morning to one each morning best? i also saw on another thread someone said to go to repunzle at 4:30 and its only a 30 min wait.... does that work for summer hours too??? any help would be greatly appreciated as we want to make the most out of the time there.....

tink and Brave girl were my only must see and we went ove to her as soon as ee was over got in line and saw her in 15min wait when she opened. I also saw braves girl right after park opening 830 (when she came out) I dont think the m&g open till 830 from the times i was there. princess id scheduled a time to go after they go on brake Get a map see what time they leave and then come out close to then (alot ppl will leave the line and come back after they go on brake)

its my only suggestion if you dont want to eat at ariels

Ive heard repunzle is 3hours long some times id make her a first off morning one if shes a must

Check your times guide. PFF generally opens 1 hour after the park, Rapunzel usually later (like 11). Pixie hollow sometimes opens at park opening. We often skip the PFF and try to catch the princesses along the pathways beside the castle (they can often be found there between 10 and 3), we usually get in the Rapunzel line shortly before they close it off (when lines are crazy long everywhere), we've had good luck at pixie hollow mid-afternoon (often less than a 30 minute posted wait). We usually space them out over the trip; I can't do all those lines in one day (plus Mickey and Minnie, who we always have to meet).

Why don't you consider doing Ariel's Grotto for lunch or dinner then you won't have to wait in line to see the princesses?

Rapunzel won't be there but then you would just have to wait to see her and get all the others while the boys are happy eating? That's what we like to do ;)

thanks bibbidi i was actaully just reading another thread and was thinking that might be a good option for us :) im gonna talk with my mom about it as it alittle pricey but if it saves us that much time we might go for it.... i was thinking of maybe just taking my dd4 to the princess lunch and let the boys do there thing but i dont think my mom nor grandma would give up the chance of seeing her once shes sees them as thats one of the main reasons we are going

A mother daughter lunch is an exellent idea we are doing that when we go in August! Because I wanted to avoid the long lines with my DD3 but still wanted to see the princess! Next week we get to book that and Minnie & Friends Breakfast !
This will be our first time trying the princess lunch or even a character meal!:cool1:

I was going to suggest Ariel's Grotto too. You can get a good bulk of the M&G with Princesses out of the way. The lunch is fantastic! Mother/Daughter time sounds like a fabulous plan. :goodvibes

I thought the lunch sounded like a good idea until I looked at the menu. It didn't look great to me. Maybe brunch would be better. Anyone know what time brunch goes to there? I'm thinking a mom/DD brunch would be great.
We are also doing BTR BBQ as my son loves BBQ chicken and ribs, so that will be his meal, even though we are all going.

AG lunch is fantastic! I'm not sure why you think it's not good. I've had the cioppino, tri-tip, chicken and the agnolotti (sp) pasta, I've enjoyed everything very very much. In fact, I go there for the food not the Princesses. :)

I think the breakfast is not nearly as good as the lunch/dinner. The breakfast is served family style so they simply bring large platters to your table and you eat off of them. The last breakfast seating is at 11:30 I believe, but this is also when they are changing the kitchen over to lunch so your selections may be limited.

I haven't had the lunch at Ariel's, but we did the breakfast in January because I thought my girls would be more likely to eat it). I was unimpressed, the sausage was weird, bacon wiggly, plain old scrambled eggs, (the fruit/bread tray was OK). If I were to do it again, I would opt to try the lunch instead.

We did the AG lunch and thought it was like a chain restaurant's food (or like my college dorm's upscale dining hall food)--decent if I were paying $15/entree, but should have been much better for the price they are charging.

I'd also opt for early morning for any of the M&Gs. Though if we are there on a weekday in Sept., it may not be too bad. We went in mid Sept. and the Thursday lines weren't bad at all. You can skim my TR in the link to read about our M&G experiences. If you go to Princess Fantasy Faire (the free one) before it opens, make sure you stand in the right place! DH stood near the audience/show area for almost an hour and 2 other families walked by to the right place to stand so we weren't the first in line and didn't get to walk the princesses back.
