Has anyone been to the Liki Tiki resort. We have reservations and plan to take the tour so our rate is only 29.00 per night. We are staying only 4 nights and then going to the Wyndham Palms Resort. We could not book the Palms for 14 nights so we filled in with this one. It is supposedly a 5 star resort with a 4 diamond AAA rating.

We will be there in 8 days for 4 nights. then we go on to the BCV. How did you get such a cheap rate? When are you going?
I will report back after our trip, arrive home late 7/23

My husaband got it through either Hotel Kingdom or Expedia I am not sure which. We are only getting the single room and we are taking the timeshare tour(which I hate) but we could not book the Palms for enough time. Please let me know I am particularly curious about the water park portion. I think there is a charge for it but am not sure. i will look forward to your reply.

I checked hotel kingdom and expedia and I could not find this rate. Could you please check with your husband because I love this place and would stay here again if I could get this rate. Any question on this place I would be glad to answer....

My husband said he got it on Hotel Kingdom.com but that the same offer is also on Go 2 Orlando however now the price is 39 per night and I think you need to take the tour.

I would like to know all you can tell me about this place. I am only staying 4 nights and we are torn if we should change our reservations from Wyndham Palms Golf Resort to 4 days and then stay 9 or 10 at Tiki

Is it clean?
Do you have to pay for the water park?
Have you stayed in the single room? It is just my husband myself and my 15 year old and normally we stay in the 2 bedroom but since this was just a stop gap because we could not get in the Palms for the complete time we decided to"ruff it".

Have you taken the tour? Are they very agressive and do they put a lot of pressure on you? We are scheduled for 730 in the am and I plan on being out at 9 no matter what. I have never done this before. Also I was sure I went to their site and they were giving 4 nites for 199.00(could be wrong been to sooo many sites).

How did you get your tour time already? I was told we could not get until we checked in at the offsite place. I know the day and approximate time I want to do this so I would like to call as soon as possible to set up the time. thanks for all of the info.

I do not know how my husband did it but we were just talking about it the other day and he said it was set. I think our day is the 2nd day we are there. They told him we could not do it on the first or last which is what I would have wanted. It is scheduled for 730 and I had wanted it even earlier. Did you get the 29.00 rate? Are you staying for just 4 days. I would call them but then again you probably did not book through Hotel Kingdom so maybe it is different. I think that Hotel Kingdom does the scheduling fot the people they get. Also while we were doing all the booking my husband was checking back through the travel sites and we have consistantly found Hotel Kingdom to be the cheapest. The rate we could have gotten without the tour was around 50 per night through HK also.

I know when we stayed at the Vistana we were supposed to take the tour and they were upset with Hotel Kingdom because they did not schedule one. That is the reason Vistana Villiages does not make deals through them anymore.

You do not have to pay to use the water park...I do love this place and I am sure you will too...They have all sorts of stuff planned by the pool like steak fry- parties....I have taken the time share tour once it was very high pressure but I started saying no from the begginning....and left about 2 hours later worth the discount...Rooms are nice...Any more question I would be glad to answer...

Thanks for the info. I had never taken a timeshre tour and was unsure how to handle it. I plan on going in and telling them from the beginning that I am not taking the timeshare and asking how long the tour is. I know it is 90 minutes and that is all I am giving them. I am happy to find out that I can inform them of this from the beginning.
I am aslo happy to find out that there is no charge for the water park portion. Thanks for the info

and we have a 2 bedroom for 199 for 4 nights. Wed thru Sun, check out on Sun then over the Beach Club Villas. I plan on using the tactic of resale is half the price and I already own at Disney so unless their timeshare is point oriented, I am not interested. Will see what happens

Please write back and tell me if the tour is tortorous. I am really dreading the hard sell. I could tell them no to the point of being rude but my husband believes in letting them down easy. NOT a great tactic in my opinion. You technically got the same rate as I did since you took the 2 bedroom. I figured I did not care for 4 days and since only my 15 year old is coming .He spent most nights when we stayed at the Vistana sleeping on the couch because that was the room with the largest tv. It was kind of usless to get the two bedroom. This is a test. My time at the Wyndham is going to be spent in the 2 bedroom. Hve a good time.

Hi Sara

We have booked a two bed appartment for us and a one bed appartment for my parents for next April. Can you tell me please - are the two beds in a different block to the one beds and can we ask to be situated close by?

Also, we are not paying reduced prices so I presume we will not be approached to do the timeshare thing - is that right?

Many thanks!

Ihave never been to the LT but in other timeshare properties I know that single and double bedrooms are sometimes on the same floor. At the Vistana the singles were on the end and the doubles were in the middle of the floor. Singles did not have a terrace or balcony but that is okay since you should have one in the double. I think that the set up for most of these properties is always very similar. They use virtually the same floor plan with some changes.
IF you did not get the reduced rate they will not make you take the tour. I only did it because I am just staying for 4 days because I could not get 14 at the hotel I wanted.

How much did you pay at regular price. I am just curious. If you booked thorough them and not Hotel Kingdom you might be paying more even for the non tour price.

We booked through a UK travel agency and are paying much more than the prices you are quoting! £38 per night for a one bed appartment and £60 per night for a two bed appartment. If you convert this to dollars you can see there is quite a difference to the low prices you have been quoted. If the resort facilities are as good as they appear then I am happy with the price and I certainly have no desire to do the timeshare tour!

I did not realize that it was booked through the UK. Since you are going in April I will let you know what it is like when I return at the end of August.

Hello,

You can ask to have connected rooms because they rent 3 bedroom which is a 2 bedroom unit connected to a 1 bedroom unit....We did this last year and it was cheaper to book the 3 bedroom and not the 2 bedroom/1bedroom...They gave us a discount. We loved this set up both had there own living room and kitchen...Any more question I will be glad to answer...

i also saw the site on go2 orlando for $39.00 ngt. with tour and then i got the ent. book and they have a site for $319.00 for 1 bdr and $418. for 2 from condo rentalbank, you have to do 7 days and no TIMESHARE. this seems to be the best deal. the book was only $10.00 and has tons of coupons. http://epub.condodirect.com/iw/cs?a=0 is the website.

I can not seem to find any of these rates. I called and hotel kingdom said they don't have liki tiki discounts anymore and when I went to go2orlando the rate was very high. If anybody has any idea how I can do this timeshare presentation for this great rate, please let me know....Going in November and I have reservation for this hotel at 90.00 a nite for a 2 bedroom....
thanks sara
