I tried to do a search, but it's not working again. I found a promotion thru HotelKingdom.com for a great rate for Liki Tiki Resort if we attend a "90 min. to 2 hr." presentation. We can get a 2 bdrm villa for $59.95 for the 1st 4 nites, plus stay up to 3 more nites for $80/nite. We are a family of 7, so we need some room to spread out in :D Would love to hear about anyone's experience at this resort!

Thanks!

Sue

Stayed here this past year and liked it. Did the TS tour and was first out of the room....Just say No!!! Quite a few times!!

How old are the people in your group and what do you want to do on vacation? If you provide this info I can likley help telll you if Liki Tiki would be good for you.

Thanks,

Hi hawt1,

Thanks for your help! It will be myself and dh, and our 5 kids who will be these ages at the time: dd 15, dd 7 & ds 7 (twins), ds 3, and ds 18 mos. I will be getting WDW AP's for all of us, so we'll want to make the most of it and spend lots of time in the parks. We're driving down, so we'll have our own transportation. As part of our trip will be during the busy Christmas/ New Year's time, I'm sure we'll want to return to our resort for some R&R during the afternoon. Will it likely be warm enough for swimming in the Liki Tiki Lagoon, or is there an indoor pool? Because of the expense of buying 6 AP's, we want to keep our other costs as low as possible without staying in a dump! That's why we are willing to do the timeshare presentation (though we have NO intention of buying!) The other places I'm looking at are Orange Lake and Star Island, or possibly a rental home.

Thanks so much for your advice!

Sue

Liki Tiki will be great for the 7 year olds and down. The others may find it a little junior.

It took us about 15 minutes to Disney and 20 minutes to Universal from there when we were there.

The two bedroom units are nice but you will still be a little tight since you will have to use the sofa as a bed to fit everyone in.

The resort is very nice...not a dump at all. You should check into what it costs to upgrade to a 3 bedroom. Would give you the living room as a living room rather than a bedroom.

As for OLCC and Star Island. My parents are at Star Island right now and like it but it only has one pool...could be boring.

OLCC has numerous pools and might be a better option since it has a lot more to do than either of Liki Tiki or Star Island...but don't know what price you would have to pay to get in there.

Liki Tiki has 3 pools in total. As for temperature...Christmas is US winter too...so you may get cooler weather or you may get great weather. Expect the pools to be in the 70s at that time...cool for my liking but may be okay for you and yours.

Very few pools are heated in Florida.

We are staying at OLCC in March so would be able to help out better than as will have been at or know of all three...

Timeshare presentation can be painful or painless...you just need to know the right things to say to get out of thre quickly...and No is not always accepted as No.

Any other questions, let me know.

Me, DH, DS and DD stayed at Liki Tiki last May. We really enjoyed it. We had a two bedroom and there was plenty of room. Even if you have to let out the sofa bed, there is ample room to walk. The kitchen was big. It had a bar and 4 barstools along with a six place setting dining table. The pool was nice, good size. Liki Tiki water park was small and a bit crowded but I think we went at a bad time. I would stay there again.

Hope this helps.

Sherry
