Likelyhood of an Upgrade at Swan/Dolphin?

I have a room booked at the Swan for the first weekend in June. DSIL works at a local Sheraton, so we get the Starwood employee rate. What is the likelyhood that we will be able to get an upgrade? How/What is the best way to ensure we get one if one is available.

Just a little help please.

get a 1 class upgrade with this

I registered for a Starwood card just last week, I printed the temporary card and expect the real card to arrive in the mail any time now. Unfortunately, no points yet.

e mail the Swan through the website, www.swandolphin.com, and humbly request an upgrade - note your reservation #, spg # on the email. You don't have to mention that you received an employee rate. Stress that you are looking forward to your stay and hope that you can receive any type of complimentary upgrade they may have.

You will probably receive a standard e mail answer saying that you must wait for check in. However, I would call the Swan directly about 5 days before arrival to check on your request.

Also, make sure that your reservation appears on the spg website (www.spg.com).
