Likelihood of getting into Cali Grill Lounge...

Hello all!

I'm looking for some input on how hard it actually is to get in to the Cali Grill Lounge (the area that doesn't require reservations). My birthday is on Saturday and I'm realizing (*quite late in the game*) that what I'd really really like to do for my birthday is head up there for some drinks and dessert and watch the fireworks. There are of course no reservations to be found on such short notice, so I'm wondering what our chances would be of getting in to the lounge. We'd just be 3 people, looking to get in around 7 and just mill around til fireworks at 9. In all honesty, what are my chances of making this happen? @lurkyloo any experience here? Previous tips and advice appreciated!

I did this a few years ago, if you go up early enough and just keep ordering for the length of your lingering, it should work.....but don't go expecting no wait, cuz there might be a chance there will be one....

Hey, my birthday is Saturday too :cheer2: Sadly, I won't be in Disney to celebrate it ...
The Cali Grill lounge may be busy Saturday night, but maybe get there closer to 6 or 6:30? If for some reason they are packed, you could try Poly and watch the fireworks from the beach, or Geyser Point at WL.

Wear your "it's my birthday button", smile, and hope for the best. Your fallback position is the 4th floor terrace outside of the main lobby. There's actually a pretty good view from there.
