Okay...I have posted this to the 'Transportation' and 'Theme Parks Attractions and Strategies' Threads, but I needed to run it by you guys b/c you are the experts on WL business ;)

I have a touring plan, but I have a few questions. Please jump in where you can help.

#1 Have PS on DS's Birthday for breakfast at CP at 8:05 (day that MK is NOT Early Entry). My touring plan says to be at MK by 7:50. Question: Do the boats from WL operate that early? If not...what's our best bet?

#2 We are going to the 6:00 La Nouba...leaving from Epcot. Question: What time should we leave Epcot? And...What is our best bet to get from Epcot to DTD?

#3 We are flying in the day before we check in (used Priceline for a cheap room by MCO) and then staying until close our last day (another night by MCO). We are not getting a car. Question: Has anyone used a rental agency and arranged to be picked up at a hotel...not MCO?

Thanks in advance for any advice and PD

No advice  C'mon WL vets...chime in :chat:

pewing--
When I read something that might relate to our trips I write it in a notebook I keep with me. And I made a note that the boat to MK starts at 7:45am and the one to Contemporary starts at 7am. If this info is still true you could boat to Cont. and get on the monorail from there to MK.
Can't help with anything else but you could call WL direct and ask any questions--I have. 407-824-3200
We leave in 3 days!! Have fun on your next trip!!

Sorry Pewing

I wasn't sure about some of your questions, but I'll try.

#1. Since your PS at CRT is an hour before Park opening you might have to catch the bus to TTC then ride the Resort Monorail to MK. (check at front desk for schedule of boats that day) You could also take the restort boat to CR then walk to MK or ride the Monorail around to MK but I think that it would be faster to take the bus to TTC then the Monorail.

#2. The buses to DDT don't go to EPCOT (or any other of the Parks) so, you could walk to BWI or BC via international gateway and catch the resort bus to DTD, you would need to be at BWI by 4:30pm because the buses to DDT take longer you may have to wait 30 min. You could take a Taxi from EPCOT to DDT much quicker (not sure of cost or how many will be in your party)

#3. Yes you can arrange for rental agency to pick you up at any hotel, just call. (This one I have never done because we always drive.)

Hope this helps, if anyone else has addition information please post, you may think of a better plan.:earsboy:

OH!! Pewing I just read this on another post:

The DTD bus makes three stops:
Before Noon:
Typhoon Lagoon
Downtown Disney Marketplace
Pleasure Island (this is the stop for the West Side as well)
After Noon:
Downtown Disney Marketplace
Pleasure Island
Typhoon Lagoon

We no longer service the West Side bus terminal. Service for the West Side is provided through the Pleasure Island terminal.

So you will need even more time to arrive at West Side for your 6:00pm reservations to La Nouba

I'll help with 1 1/2 out of the three!!

1. For and early- pre-MK opening PS- take the bus from the WL to the TTC and catch the monorail. My DD and I did this in October for our early Cindy's PS and it worked like a charm. The bus ride from WL to TTC is only a few minutes and nobody was at the TTC (kind of eerie) at 7:45 except for a few CMs and a few other early diners. The WL boats to MK don't operate that early.

2. Can't help there

3. Here is my half answer- don't have personal experience but I have heard the same thing as the above poster that they will pick you up where you request.

Have a great day all! Back to the Holiday prep!

I'm glad there is still someone out there who hasn't left who knows something!! Have a merry Christmas!!

We did the sleigh ride and it was great. Just a note here - this is a cash only ride. I came prepared to put it on my room card and then had to go back to the room, no small task, for money. The trip takes you down a dirt road into the campqround where you turn around and come back. You then go between the lodge and villas to the beach area and then turn around and come back. The jingle of the bells and the clopping of the hooves were great sounds. We would do this again.

I haven't done the sleigh ride, but read a review on it. Tried to find the post but could only find this report from Ruvidu, the other review said they also had paid the driver direct and had given a tip of $5.00.

Hope this helps... If anyone else has done the Sleigh Ride and has more information please post.

Ok, I'm pouting, I'll admit it. Would any of my WL Fan Friends mind going over to the Theme Park Attractions board and commenting on my Living Seas dive post? :(

Hey there everyone....

We just got back last night about 12:30 in the morning. Our flight from MCO to JFK was delayed b/c 2 ppl check their luggage but wasn't on board...blah blah blah...we got home safely.

But we had a WONDERFUL trip. I'll probably to a full trip report later. (I AM AT WORK TODAY! )

We went on the sleigh ride, it was great, we paid in cash and gave her a $20 tip (We were running late at Whispering Canyon~and tried to cancel, but she said she'd wait! She waited for us for about 25 mins!~) The sleigh ride accepts the room key for charge or cash only. But it has to be by appointment, after us (10:25 pm) there were a couple of ppl asking for rides and she said to call WDW-PLAY for ressies and we were the last ride.
It was very nice, COLD, but nice. She takes our photo w/ our camera first, then "tucks" us in w/ blankets and off we went!

It was about 40 degrees at night, but we did take a quick dip in the pool! (WE HAD TO~You can't go to FL. and NOT swim!!! )

Had a great view, saw the castle (behind the trees) and had a wonderful view of the fireworks! DH fed the seagulls in the morning on our balcony...so there were plenty of seagull poop on our rail...

We left a sign outside for our anniversary and alot of ppl signed it...

ok ok, this is getting too long, sorry everyone...I guess I'll just put it in my trip report. But THANKS everyone for helping me w/ all the info! We had a blast!

xoxo

I am starting to thaw!!! Florida will be back in the 70's today!! Thank goodness...cause my toes were starting to talk about moving to Puerto Rico with HughJackmanswife and AC's mom!!

2 days till I will be in my 30's countdown!

I unfortunately only have a minute, I'm on the run with all the holiday prep.

I wanted to make sure that I stopped by though to wish everyone

Happy Holidays!!!!!

I hope they are all great for everyone!!

Thanks for the input--never hurts to be prepared for anything! Can't wait!

YAHOOOOOO!!!! My tag is back. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Tag Fairy & Kimmar I felt "naked" runing around here with no tag.

God blessed me with a great Sunday. DD insists I come down to her place on weekends so she can keep an eye on me and yesterday I was “perky”, so she took me down to the Lodge to see the decorations. We sat out on the deck behind the lobby and DGD brought me a cup of hot coco. What bliss.
A couple came out on the deck and were ooohhhing and aweing. I ask if they saw the waterfall? Really a waterfall? So I gave them directions to go see it and other must see items. DD & DGD were rolling on the ground laughing. I should have given them one along the side of the head. LOL
We then went over to Celebration to the "Tavern" for dinner. Life is good when you feel HIS presence.

I pray everyone gets their hearts desires this Holiday Season. Laugh when you can sez I and love.

My deepest appreciation for those of the "family" that are concerned, here is a link to a update.

I think Roy needs a new tag... WL Father! I feel like he is the Lodge Dad and we are all the kids..

Ok...getting alittle mushy for the thread, but I just love FC and glad he is doing better!

Just popping in to say hi

We just returned last night. I'll have a trip report shortly.

I'm kinda dissappointed this trip  Not sure what happened.

Anyhow, we're home.

Welcome back. Hope you still had a good time regardless.

Look forward to the report.

We are having a problem with our reservation and may end up having to switch resorts. :( We are still deciding what we are going to do if we can't do the lodge.

More info on that as I get it.

Fred
