FC - I wish the south end would get back to the 80's!! This cold weather is making my bones creak!!

Fred - I think it would be MUCH better for you to go in February...say the first week ;) My DD would love a playmate!

ok..back to nursing my HOT cup of tea!! I think I need to order some of those electric socks!!

Happy Friday!

4075/4077 is Bear Face queen/queen
4156/4158 is queen/bunk
5117/5119 is queen/bunk
There are king/queen connecting rooms
King rooms are handicap assessable and have a roll in shower, no tub, and have a connecting queen room. Maybe AspiringCindy can help if she knows of any that are Courtyard.
Page i & 2 can give you a lot of information. Page 2, WL Layout will give you faxing instructions.
Enjoy the Lodge and come back to be a part of our "Family"

You hang in there good friend. I am waving the Weather Wand and chanting disparaging remarks at the cold front.

Actually the weather is not all that bad. Makes it feel like Christmas season should feel. I wish it would snow.

Also, the weather being a little nippy, will make you really feel like your at at a real Wilderness Lodge. :D

Happy Friday to all.

..you-zzz guys iz soooo funny!! [LOL]

I was jes' thinkin'....in ONE WEEK we would have been one our way to sunny F-L-A!! Crazy me, I actually TURNED DOWN the chance to go to Orlando...reason being, since we didn't go this past summer (some of you will remember my cancelled trip:( ) my Dh felt guilty about it and suggested we go during the XMas holidays with our cheerleaders, who will be performing at the Capital One Bowl halftime show. Well, since we'd already been to WDW during XMas and have experienced the {BRRRRR!} chilly weather, I opted to cancel and go to visit my mother in Puerto Rico instead (guaranteed 80 degrees + weather!), but no-o-oo-o, my mom comes HERE instead:crazy: (AC ~ don't you say ANYTHING!!)

I say come down here....as cold as it is...it HAS to be warmer than there!!!

Kimmar, oh I mean HughJackmanNme, I'm not saying a thing!

CaliforniaDreaming, I believe that Rooms 6047 & 6049 are also adjoining Courtyard view rooms. Queens/Queen & Bunk
I'll have to verify this though if interested! If you need any more info, you have come to the right place. We are the Tikimen of the WL thread!

Ratpack, have a great time on your trip!

Majestic, just wanted to let you know...that Spirit Airlines is offering a Cyber Special from Laguardia to Orlando at $57 each way! These tix must be purchased by Midnight 12/21! It includes most of Jan and Feb.

Actually, we live exactly 18 minutes away from Newark so I can't justify driving that kind of distance when we are so close to an airport already.

I am a Continental OnePass member so I am booking with them. I got $220 a person round trip which isn't TOO bad.

Thanks for looking though. :)

FC, Thanks for the advice. I will definitely be blowing the horn.

Majestic, PD that things will work out and you will be heading down soon.

AC, I will get that Poly report for you just as soon as I get back.

Well, signing off for good now, only a couple hours to go and we leave and I have some work to finish up here. See everyone when I return.

WISHING EVERYONE A MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!

And don't forget the reason for the season!!

Have a great trip Ratpack!!
Holiday wishes to you and your family!

Cant wait for your trip report-I am interested in how you find the Poly vs. WL!

The link below is pictures I just took at the lodge and the room I had. I had room 5032 and it was a "woods" view. The room is located just off the elevator, but I did not find it noisy at all. The view is of Cinderella's castle, the monorail, top floors of the Contemporary, the lake and a little pond down below. The beds are super comfy and it was a quick walk to the boat launch, food court, lobby, pool a little longer walk to the bus stops. The transportation is good, although I found the buses to DTD slow both at the WL & Beach Club. The Magic Kingdom boats do not start until 30 minutes prior to park opening. The resort boats (FW & Contemporary) begin at 7am until 10pm. I used my refillable mug at Roaring Forks, but can't comment on the food, as I did not dine there. Did have lunch at Whispering Canyon on my check-in day and found the food very tasty. I had a PS right when lunch started and waited just a few minutes to be seated. The CM noticed I was solo and had a book, so she was polite, but did not do any antics with me (which was good, since I had a dull headache that morning that took a good 6 hours to shake). Check in was very quick and the CM was very courteous. When I asked about the flag family, the only day available was the day I checked out and since I was leaving at 4am, that was not happening. I was put on a waiting list, but never called (oh well, next time). I sat in a very comfy leather lodge chair while waiting for lunch and just took in all there was of the lobby and it is beautiful. My luggage got transferred from the Caribbean Beach (won't stay there again) and was at the WL by 1pm. The bell desk was nice and they let me get into my luggage to get my bathing suit and book, so I could relax by the pool while waiting for my room to be cleaned.

All in all, this is my favorite resort and can't wait to stay there again next year.

Does this make me a WL Vet??

Okay...I have posted this to the 'Transportation' and 'Theme Parks Attractions and Strategies' Threads, but I needed to run it by you guys b/c you are the experts on WL business ;)

I have a touring plan, but I have a few questions. Please jump in where you can help.

#1 Have PS on DS's Birthday for breakfast at CP at 8:05 (day that MK is NOT Early Entry). My touring plan says to be at MK by 7:50. Question: Do the boats from WL operate that early? If not...what's our best bet?

#2 We are going to the 6:00 La Nouba...leaving from Epcot. Question: What time should we leave Epcot? And...What is our best bet to get from Epcot to DTD?

#3 We are flying in the day before we check in (used Priceline for a cheap room by MCO) and then staying until close our last day (another night by MCO). We are not getting a car. Question: Has anyone used a rental agency and arranged to be picked up at a hotel...not MCO?

Thanks in advance for any advice and PD

Thanks for you trip report.. I stayed right next door to you in room 5034. What a great view. Did you see the otter?

I tried clicking on your link but it didnt work, at least from my computer.

Its real easy to get hooked on the Lodge..its such a magical place.
