Ok, maybe it is just me but I loved the OLD Ohana's with the chubby man who strummed that ukeleli and the pinapple desert with the coconut races...it seems to me like not only the menu has changed but so has the atmosphere...:confused3 Anyone else notice the differences?

The two times we went (2006 and 2007) they still had coconut races which looked like a lot of fun for the kids. They had a woman entertaining on the guitar and she was wonderful.

We have never had the pineapple dessert but the Banana Bread pudding is our favourite dessert and WDW so I guess I will have to vote after.

Ukelele is still played and there are still coconut races. We misss the GUMMY WORMS. Bring back the worms!!!!

We've only been since they made the changes, we like it just fine and I agree with a PP the Banana Bread Pudding is the best dessert at WDW.

I agree!:goodvibes We liked it before and after but because I like the Banana Bread pudding the best(it is my favorite dessert), I voted after.

I voted after because it's not much different to me that before. We dined here last Wed. evening and there was a woman playing the Ukelele and singing and they did have the coconut races for the kids, but no gummy worms! I was happy they brought the shrimp back for the menu and the banana bread pudding is great!

We've only been after the changes as well... the women with the guitar was great, and that bread pudding was fantastic! My favorite part of the meal was the shrimp, and the wontons with the various dips (I love Harissa- yum).

I can't wait to go back!

We ate there in early April and that man was there singing and dancing and playing the ukeleleh...he was awesome.

We never went to Ohana before the menu change so I cannot say how great it was but we loved loved loved it when we went in April, amazing food!

When we went in 2005, we got the male entertainer. We liked him- very low key. DD loved the coconut races and hula hooping contest.

We went back last fall, and saw the female entertainer. She seemed more upbeat and interactive. While we were there, no coconut races- they did the hula hooping contest, and the lady had the kids up for hula lessons. She was also giving out plastic flower leis to the kids- DD loves getting free stuff!

Both experiences were fun- I personally prefered the guy with the ukelele, but DD liked the lady for her upbeat personality and kid-friendly activities.

From what I've read, the menu no longer includes the wontons/dipping sauces or the maui scalloped potatoes. There are noodles instead. The dessert is different too. Seems like the changes occurred April of 08 or so?

I've never been before, but I'm not too happy about the menu changes I've read about. Thinking of cancelling my upcoming reservation.

See... To me atmosphere has changed. I missed the chubby guy who used to sing.... the lady seems different...

As for changing your reservation we haven't gone back since the change...we didn't like the experience.

I voted for before Bring back the pineapple dessert it was great the new dessert isn't bad either:banana: I miss the Samlon it was the best but that was about 8 or 10 yrs ago. The food is good still if you have never had the other. BRING BACK THE OLD there was a lo mein also it was so good. Miss Gummies also liked ukeleli guy.

The last time we went there were lots of games for our DD to play, including the coconut races. And a woman playing on the ukelele.

We think the banana bread pudding is the best dessert at WDW -- and we dont even like bread puddings!!! It was so yummy we asked for more!:rolleyes1 (and we NEVER do that!).

Our first visit there was in '98, both girls loved the lo mein. We were never real fans of the rice. loved the old shrimp wontons, not crazy about the chips. Love the bread pudding. It's still a tradition for us!
