lightweight/umbrella-type strollers: tell me about yours

We have a large stroller already and now are thinking about getting a smaller, more portable one for smaller outings with our 9 month old.

There are so many varieties out there, so I thought I'd start with you guys to tell me what you love (or hate!) about your lightweight strollers.

Before our last Disney trip we bought a Kolcraft umbrella stoller. It worked really well for us. Having had that if I had to purchase another, I would look for one that had some type of basket, a canopy, a reclining feature, and since I'm fairly tall one with long enough handles. Mine did not have a basket, and we attacheda net bag to the back of it, which worked, but if I had to do over I would definately get a basket or storage.

I have the Combi Savvy. It's light enough that I can toss it over my shoulder, which was important to me. My Peg Perego was so heavy I couldn't get it into the trunk.

I really LOVE my Combi Savvy stroller.

It is very lightweight and folds up smaller than any other stroller I have every seen. It also has a shoulder strap which was invaluable at WDW with the busses. It navigates well and my kids sure seemed comfortable in it. It also has a nice big canopy to protect from the sun with a little see-through "window". I found it before our first trip to WDW with my DS and I was kicking myself for not finding it sooner. It has held up well for over 2 years and I don't think we will ever need another stroller.

The things I don't love about it are things that are not that big of a deal to me but could be to others. It does not fully recline (although my kids napped in it comfortably without a full recline), it does not have a cup holder and the basket underneath does not hold a whole lot (just kept me from bringing too much stuff with me).

I like my Peg Perego Pliko Lite. It weighs about 11 lbs. It reclines, has a shade and a basket. It is a bit bigger than other umbrella strollers, but I like it and it's comfy for DS. Here's pic.

I like the MacLaurens for size and weight. I just needed something that reclined better since DS is just 6 months. I also didn't like the Mac's basket.

We have the one you get free for spending $75 at Babies R Us, similar to this: http://www.kolcraft.com/product.aspx?id=111&&shopby=category. It's not any good. Russ doesn't sit comfortably in it, it has no features whatsoever and it's hard to steer. But it was free!! I've heard good things about the Combi's.

We've had a few Maclarens. The Vogue, an older model, had 3 recline positions and drove very smoothly-came with a hood, rain shield and small basket underneath, weighed @ 13 lbs.. The Daytripper came with above items, weighed less, around 10 lbs, but only had 2 recline positions, also drove very smoothly. We now have 2 older Volos for the kids when we go to Disney. The ones we have didn't come with the hood/rain shield/seat cushion, but that doesn't bother us. The Volo doesn't recline, so I'd probably wait until your little one was a little older, but it is very lightweight- @ 8 lbs- and has a carry strap.

I've never had any problems with mine.
