I'm looking for a lightweight umbrella type stroller to take on quick trips that will fold up smaller than our current large Graco. I'm looking at The First Years Jet or Ignite. Trying to decide if the Ignite is worth the extra money.

I have had a couple of friends swear by the Mclaren but my budget won't allow it. I need under $75. I've also checked our local Craigslist and used baby store with no luck so I'm planning to order new from Amazon.

Can anyone give me any opinions on these two strollers? I've read too many amazon reviews and my mind is spinning lol. Thanks!

I loved my Ignite. I bought it for WDW and it was the perfect stroller. I chose the Ignite over the Jet because the seatback on the Ignite is a bit longer. DS liked to nap in the stroller and with a regular umbrella stroller, his head was hanging off the back when the seat was reclined. The Ignite was a better fit for him.

I think there's only about a $10 difference between the two, so I'd go with the Ignite in the hopes that it will be a good fit for your child even a year or two from now.

Yesterday I looked at a Graco IPO at a used baby stuff store. It sounds like it would really fit what you're looking for. It reclines, steers awesome, and folds up tiny. The handles were very comfy and at a good height, even for my taller husband and the tall friend who was with us. I wanted it, but we have a Jeep Cherokee stroller that folds up pretty compactly (not as small as the Graco IPO, but not huge either). The Jeep is our go-to stroller and we have a cheap umbrella stroller for those times we need something tiny. I've seen the IPO on our Craigslist fairly often.

There's a Jeep Wrangler umbrella style stroller at Walmart that I've seriously considered for something smaller. In our store it's $35. It doesn't recline, though, and there's not much storage space for stuff, and there's only a 40 pound weight limit. It seems really durable and the wheels are good. I've tried it in the store but as I mentioned, we dont' really need it. :) http://www.walmart.com/ip/Jeep-Wrangler-All-Weather-Umbrella-Stroller-Vibe/17783190

Walmart.com has the Ignite in several colors, in varying prices. They even have a Minnie one for $70! http://www.walmart.com/ip/The-First-Years-Disney-Minnie-Ignite-Stroller/20753135

I've never seen the Ignite in person so I can't comment on them from experience, but I like that they hold up to 50 pounds and have a 5 pt. harness and recline. If there's one thing I don't like about our Jeep cherokee stroller is that it has a 3 pt. harness. If Z tried hard enough, she could probably wiggle out.

She's used the Cherokee since she was 6 weeks old (with a body cushion inside when she was tiny) and it's been a fantastic stroller. If you don't mind something a bit bigger than an umbrella stroller when folded, then I highly recommend it.

I bought 2 Ignite strollers (DS 3 and DS 5) before our May trip and we loved them. I bought them on Kohls.com using a 30% coupon and ebates and received Kohls cash. Each stroller cost me $35. I highly recommend this stroller.

We bought the Ignite for our trip to Disney and we really liked it. It fit my tall toddler well and it was super easy to steer! My only issue was the frame on the back of the stroller blocked easy access to the basket on the stroller making it difficult to get things in/out of it.
