Lightweight stroller for tall 2.5 yr. old

I had gotten the Peg Perego P3 for DS, now turning 3. I also thought I would only have that 1 stroller for him. I absolutely love this stroller but still wanted/needed an umbrella type/lighter stroller.
I had bought the Kolkraft umbrella stroller that reclined and that was good for awhile. Now he is tall and has outgrown it.
So, I was searching and finally found a perfect fit for him and we just got it yesturday. It's the Maclaren Triumph and I got it at babyage.com for $104 with delivery!!(it's on sale for $109 and I found a webcode) Anyway, this stroller has a max weight of 55lbs!!! and a max height of 44in.!!! My son is only 31lbs, but he is tall so I see us using this stroller for a long time. It is very light, comes with a strap to carry it on your shoulder, has a basket, reclines, has a canopy and comes with a rain cover. It is so smooth and easy to push, and you can push it with 1 hand!! I too was going crazy looking for the max weight on strollers and most sites don't give that info or the info is conflicting. I was annoyed but found the answers by going to my local Babies R Us and looking on the paper work from the strollers. You almost always can find a better price online.
Good luck!!

Thanks for the info - we've been sick with sinus infections around here, so I wasn't able to respond sooner. I do have a question though: I am able to get the 2005 Triumph on sale for $109.00 at a baby boutique in Michigan, but I want to make sure that it's rated to 55 lbs. Do you have a 2005 or 2006 model? It sounds like you really love this stroller, so I'm hoping we do too!

Thanks, Tiger

I just got a 2005 Mac Techno XT for $164 from allbee baby and it is rated to 55 pounds (got it straight from the owners manual) DS2.5 is almost 30 lbs and about 39" tall and it is wonderful! We had a BabyTrend lightweight and it was small and he seemed like a giant in it. Plus DH and I, who are both tall, felt the babytrend was way too short. The Techno is much taller and it has adjustable handles. I can't say enough about this stroller!

I bought the 2005 Triumph for DD3 for our Feb Trip. It is absolutely rated to 55lbs. I made sure....DD is SLIGHTLY over that weight and very tall. This is the best stroller!!! Both DH and I said this was the best $140 spent for out vacation!

Thanks so much! This is the best news and we will definitely pick up our DD's new Triumph on Monday. We are excited that we are getting a 2005 Triumph for the same price of a 2006 Volo.

Thanks again, Tiger
