Your day at DHS looked amazing and so much fun! I haven't seen the Indiana stunt show in years and now I really want to go see it. I'm glad you had so much fun!

CHAPTER 4: Part 3.....

When we were done watching the parade, we decided that it was time for a little refreshment! We trooped over to the little place over near Sunset Market Ranch and used 2 more snack credits for a couple of VERY yummy Frozen Lemonades!!! While we were enjoying those in a nicely shaded spot (it was really quite warm that day!) Ken went and filled up our water bottles! It was around 3:30pm at this point!

After our feet had a little break and we were finished our Lemonades, Em and I decided to go back for some more thrills and turns on RnRc!!! Too Much Fun!!!!!! I could totally ride this over and over!!! It almost rivals TSM for my fave ride at DHS!!!

We met back up with Ken and Nat and headed over to the Theatre to see Lights, Motors, Action!! The origianl plan was to see Beauty and the Beast, but the girls decided they would rather see LMA!!! Do I have cool kids or what?!

This decision was totally on their own. I was a little disappointed that my little girls aren’t in for the princess show, but fireballs and explosions and loud motors are very cool.

It was definitely the same show as last year but still VERY awesome!!! Actually we did get to seee a part that we didn't last year! The part where the guys swings on a rope over to the jet ski! Our day at DHS last year was THE COLDEST day in WDW last year!! I guess because of that they had decided to leave out the water parts!? Anywho, it is still a great show and we enjoyed it very much!

I again found myself reacting to how close those cars come to each other and the walls. CRINGE!

When we finally got out of the Theatre it was about 5:05pm. We decided to go and have our last ride on TSM for the day! This time we let the girls ride together and Ken and I teamed up together. Unfortunately, our score keepers were NOT working so we had no idea of what our scores were until the very end! THIRD ride – slightly disappointing, but STILL SO MUCH FUN!!!

The joy in the game is the game. But oh what a forearm workout!

When we were done our ride, we very slowly made our way over to SciFi where we had a 5:55pm ADR!!! I was most excited about this ADR! I had read so many conflicting reviews on this place but I was excited none the less to discover it on our own!!

We arrived at 5:45 to check in! They were turning away walk ins! There were many sad and disappointed faces leaving the restaurant as we walked in!
I REALLY hoped it was because they were turning away walk ins and not because the experience was poor…
I hoped that it wouldn't mean our service would be poor! I checked in and we sat only for a few minutes before being called in at exactly 5:55!

We were led to our Car and it was right up at the very front of the Drive in! We let the girls have the front seat which they thought was VERY cool! They were immediately captured by the shows on the screen.

Although the kids ate at a snails pace, it WAS a quiet meal, in terms of children. The film clips were the fun extreme B movie flicks from the 50’s and 60’s. Not enough to scare, but sure was entertaining.


Our server came and introduced himself. His name was Ryan! He was GREAT!!! He took our drink orders and talked to the girls about their fave rides that day! I had a Vanilla Coke, Ken had a Oreo Milk Shake and I think the girls had Shirley Temples! We waited maybe 5 minutes before our drinks arrived and when Ryan returned we were ready to order our food!

Mother and Daughter struck the same pose: transfixed by the moving pictures in front of them…

Ken and I both had the ribs with fries/ coleslaw and the black bean relish. That relish was SOOOOO yummy! Emily had tomato soup and a burger with fries. Her soup smelled soo good! Nat had the cheese pizza with veggies and fruit! All of the food was just wonderful!!!

Good filling grits. The ambiance is more open here than at 50’s primetime, but aside from that minimal difference, culinarily or experientially.

For dessert, Ken chose the Peanut /butter Chocolate cake (as I knew he would!) and I had the Celebration cheesecake. We sampled a taste of each others. Both were very scrumptious! Emily had her ice cream sundae and Nat just had her fruit. I shared some the “treats” from my cheesecake with her! I'll tell you, for a kid who is Lactose intolerant, ice cream being the only option for dessert is kind of unfair. We tried to accommodate her whenever we could by giving her some of our dessert!

This won’t be the last time we mention the limited menu for the children.

The ONLY thing that I have to say that is not complimentary about SciFi is that it was REALLY cold in there! Oh and the speakers on the cars were REALLY loud. Nat had an earache at the end of the evening. Other than those 2 things our time there was awesome! We will definitely eat there again some day! Great food, Excellent service and a really fun atmosphere!

One complaint I have is that the lights are on too bright for me to put my arm around my girl there…

We were finished by just shortly after 7pm. The park was now closed! We decided to go and see if the Star Tours dump shop was still open. This brings us to another title explanation! On our trip last year, Emily made herself a Lightsaber at Once upon a Toy at DTD!!! This year was Natalie's turn! She wanted to make one at the Star Tours shop! Nat led the way to the shop and and was ecstatic to see that it was in fact still open!

My kids must have a handbook on “how to make Daddy misty”.

She immediately got to work picking out her parts for her Lightsaber. She must have been thinking about it for a while cause she knew exactly what she wanted! The store was otherwise empty and there were quite a few Cms just standing around chatting . We had quite a nice time chatting with them as we browsed around and waited for Nat to finish her Lightsaber!

When she was done she immediately wanted her picture taken with her new weapon! She went outside just out side the store and stuck a pose! I tried several times to get a good shot but the lighting was just too dark. Ken tried resetting the camers and we finally got one good shot! She was so happy!

Here she is with proper posture, left foot slightly in front of the other, head held high. Raising them to intimidate the boys without me requiring to bring out rifles.

As we left the store and headed towards Hollywood Boulevard a CM saw us walking and called to us the park was and had been closed for sometime and that we needed to be leaving! She wasn't exactly friendly!

As we approached “The Hat” we noticed that there were still Photopass photographers out! We went over and had a few pictures taken and then finally found our way out!!! We were on a bus by 7:45pm! We were back at POFQ before 8 and the girls were in their jammies, tucked into bed and fast asleep before 9!

I went to visit with some friends of ours from Home who just happened to be staying in the same building! I visited with them for about a half an hour and then went back to our room. I was in bed and fast asleep before 10! Another EXCELLENT day in Walt Disney World!!!

I heartily agree.

Just wanted to let you know I got a pin code yesterday!!!! My devious little plan is starting to work (I think). I've been saving vacations on the Disney website left and right, ordering park maps and planning dvds...anything to get a pin code. It's a room only pin for 20/30/40 and it's: For stays most nights:

7/5/10–10/7/10
10/11/10–11/23/10
11/28/10–12/16/10

I'm still crossing my fingers for free dining, but maybe this pin will help convince my DH a little bit!

YAY!!! I am SOOOOOOO excited for you!!! Hope Mr. T goes along with the plan!!! After all, it'll have been more than A WHOLE YEAR that you've been away from your Happy Place! Definitely time to go back!

It is pretty much the same show as it has been all along but still a great show! Especially if you have not seen it before or for a long time!

Sorry about the unintended hiatus friends! This TR just took a back seat to Life for a while! Thanks for all your patience! I really do appreciate the effort y'all made to get me motivated!

CHAPTER 5: Soarin' through the Future!!!!

We were a bit poky to get going this morning and didn't leave the room until about 7:50am! As we passed through Sassagoula on our way to the bus stop we saw our friends from Home sitting at a table eating their breakfast. We stopped to say hello and confirm our meeting time for later that day. We managed to get to the bus stop by 8 and were on a bus by 8:05!

We arrived at Epcot at 8:15 and were second in line! We let the girls wander a bit within our sight and Ken and I chatted with the people behind us. A couple of guys, I think they were Father and Son, were asking us a lot of questions about Disney in General and Specifically about the day at Epcot! They had been given really bad information! They had a copy of the touring plan that said to leave Soarin' until the end of the day! I quickly tried to give them a better strategy and some pointers on how to get done what they wanted to with the time that they had!

When the turnstiles were opened, we made our way to the rope for Soarin'! Somewhere along the way Ken heard that Test Track was down for a bit but would hopefully be back up soon! We very much enjoyed the Character encounters at this rope drop ceremony as well! Donald was TOO funny! I was holding Ken's coffee cup and Donald made a grab for it! Good thing it was empty or he might've had an accident!

Here is where another title explanation comes in! It was all I could do to restrain myself when my main mouse came over to say hello! I was so excited to see him that I was literally straining at the rope! Well, my Mickey did not let me down! He came right over and gave me a great big and a big ole smooch on the cheek! Aaahhhh, what a perfect way to start the day!

When the rope dropped we kept up as best as we could with the Cms as we made our way into the Land and then down to Soarin'! I got a bit confused as to where the FastPass machines where and went the wrong way for aminute! I fopund my way thanks to a call out from my hubby and found a spot only 3rd in line behind 2 expert FP takers!

I had to do some excusing to catch up with Ken and the girls whom I had told to go ahead! I felt really bad about going past people in line but they were all really nice and I finally found my family waiting for me at the “boarding gate”. We were on within 5 minutes AND had Fps good for 9:45am! Soarin' is my absolute #1 FAVE attraction @ Epcot! I could seriously ride that and Test Track ALL DAY!!!! I got to see the mickey head on the golf ball AND the Pirate Ship at the Golden Gate bridge this time! So Cool all the little surprises that are in that ride!

After our ride, we were all a bit hungry so we decided to grab a snack at Sunshine seasons! We must have been really hungry because we didn't take any pictures of what we had but I am pretty sure there were a couple of cinnamon buns and a fruit bowl! YUP!! Just checked my receipt and it told me that we were eating our snack at 9:30!

When we finished eating we headed over to Test Track to grab some Fast Passes and then went to Mission Space so Ken and Emily could have a spin! While they were blasting off into space, Nat and I chillaxed at the play area. She played with some other little people and I caught up on my journal and watched the Mission Space Race! That looks pretty neat – might have to try that some day!

When we were rejoined by our Space heroes we went to use our FP's for Test Track! This ride DOES NOT get old! It was a bit sluggish at first but I do believe we actually went FASTER than 65 mph! I LOVE THIS RIDE!!! When we were done it was time to grab some lunch back at Sunshine Seasons!

We beat the lunch rush because there many tables to be had! We all decided on what we wanted and settled in for a nice lunch!

I had the Mongolian Ginger beef with noodles, veggies and broccoli! SO YUMMY!! I also had a coke and creme brulee for dessert! Very YUM!!!

Ken had the seared tuna on Mixed Greens. He also had a coffee and the Key Lime Pie for dessert!

Emily had a kids sub with applesauce and grapes and a bottle of water.

Nat had a chicken leg with mashed potatoes and applesauce and apple juice!

When we were finished we thought we would go for a spin on Soarin' with our first set of FP's before going over to the World Showcase to meet up with our friends! The FP line took a lot longer than it should have and we ended up being a wee bit late for our meeting with our friends! Fortunately they were running late too so it worked out!

When we finally did meet up with them, they decided that the Dad of their group (Ken's really good buddy) would meet up with Ken and Emily later to do the Orange side of Mission Space! We parted ways again and we headed back into Future World to finish what we had started!

We took another spin on Test Track, got some FP's for the Orange side for later and then rode Spaceship Earth!! I really do enjoy SpaceShip Earth! It is such a neat ride! Definitely a must do!

Well, by this time we were feeling a bit parched so we decided to hit Club Cool! We really are not big soda drinkers at home, but we love Club Cool! All those different flavours are just so fun! My fave is Kinley Lemon from Israel! So yummy!

Once we had tasted all that we cared to we decided to go and check out the improvements made on Universe of Energy! It had been closed last year so we didn't get to ride it! I hadn't seen the show since they added Ellen! Definitely a HUGE improvement! And so very Educational! And FUN!!! The kids really enjoyed it! And I am proud to say that figured out that Ellen is the voice of “Dory” from Nemo!

After our Energy Education it was getting close to 4pm so we decided to have one last Soar over California and then head for our 4:30 ADR in our “Home away from Home”!! Again the FP line was a bit slower than I think it should have been. The ride was sooo worth the wait though! Unfortunately we had to run a bit to make it on time for our ADR in Canada! YUP! We were eating at Le Cellier!

CHAPTER 5: PART 2

Where were we???? Oh YES! In Canada about to eat supper At Le Cellier! My single most anticipated ADR of the whole trip!

What can I say about Le Cellier? Hmmmmm. I am glad I tried it. The food was VERY good. The serive was EXCELLENT. The atmosphere was pleasant. Again, a tad bit cool even with a sweater on and a wee bit noisier than I thought it would be! Will we try it again someday? Most definitely. But there are other restaurants I want to try first! Here is what we ate!

I had, of course, the Mushroom Filet.

Ken had The Chef's Favourite's with Cheddar Cheese Soup

and the Salt Crusted Prime Rib

He also enjoyed a good Canadian Beer...

Emily had the Kids steak with fries

Natalie had Tube Steak with veggies

AND FOR DESSERT.........

I had the maple Creme Brulee!!!!! OMG – it was like eating spun sugar!!! To. Die. For!!! mmmmmm

Ken had the Chocolate Mousse

Emily had the kids ice cream sundae

Nat had apples with brown sugar and cinnamon!

When we were finished I was seriously in PAIN from how full I was! My tummy hurt so bad! I just wanted to go back to the resort and lie down!

Before I wimped out though we did manage to get some nice shots of the fountains in front of Space Ship Earth.

Ken and Emily had their date with R to meet up and ride Mission Space but I just couldn't handle anything else so Nat and I packed it in and went and caught the bus back to POFQ while Ken and Emily hung out and had some fun with our friend!

After they had ridden Mission Space AND test Track SEVERAL times they decided to go for a spin on the Monorail! They did the Epcot to TTC to MK then caught the bus back to POFQ! I think they got back around 9:30 just as I was getting ready to head to bed!

Another very full day in WDW!!!

Hooray! What a feeling that must've been!

Before too long, the director arrived! Now it must be said that of all the opening shows, this one has to be our fave! We (Ken especially) are great fans of Mr. Alberto Dante and his assistant Bucky Greenwood! They are so much fun! We very much enjoy being cast as “extras” in Mr. Dante's movie!

I am heartily ashamed to say that we have never been able to catch this show!

As we walked down Sunset, a CM we had just passes called Emily by name and said that there was a phone call for her!!! He handed her a phone and we all stood there wondering who it could be! She suddenly got a big grin on her face and said “Mama, it's Goofy! He is singing Happy Birthday to me!”

Aww! What a lovely bit of pixiedust!

Others may say that Muppets is old and run down and due for a rehab. I say that it is one of my favourite show in all of WDW!!! I will ALWAYS be impressed with how the theatre gets damaged when the cannon goes off! TOO COOL!!!

Hear! Hear! I agree heartily. (Although I think the movie could use some restoration to its original glory.)

.... Well, today defintiely was his Lucky Day! He was chosen to be an extra for the show!!! .....Needless to say, He was thrilled! He pretty much skipped down the stairs to the stage and never stopped smiling the whole time!

How fabulous!! What a memory!!

After a brilliant show we did yet another potty break and then decided to do the Great Movie Ride. I asked about the Cowboy side but unfortunately, they were only doing the Gangster side that day! Oh well, again, maybe something for another time!

That seems to be a common theme in everyone's reports lately. Come to think of it, I can't remember the last time we got the Cowboy Theme... are they even offering it anymore??

The girls got asked if they wanted to go and dance with some of the dancers. Em didn't want to but Nat did and she had a blast! Ken was rockin' out so hard I thought he might slip a disc or something! I was hoping that his sciatic nerve would be all right!
