Okay, I've heard so many mixed reviews of this. Some say its great, not to be missed, others say its boring and there's only like 2 minutes of action in it and that the seats are very uncomfortable and the show is too long. Please give me your opinion. This is the type of show my DBF might like. I'm not to sure about me or my DD3. :confused3

They loved it and went 2 times - different days of course.

Sons were 4 and 10 last year when we went. We are going again in January and they both had that on their favorite lists.

I thought it was okay, but it is bleacher seating and those seats are not very comfortable. We got there about 20 minutes before the show started and that was plenty of time to get 3 or 4 decent seats. We always go during a very slow season though.

Have fun!
66 days and counting....

Didn't overly enjoy it, doubt I watch it again. Neither kid...both boys, both car/action fans...requested to see it again, or even mentioned it. Just wasn't a big thrill for any of us. Cool one time, and that's about it.

If you've never seen it before, I recommend checking it out. It's not a bad show but you are right, the seating gets uncomfortable, and the show does run long. The nice thing is that it is one Disney attraction where errors can be made. There are, of course, humans driving the stunt vehicles.

Meh.

I could easily skip it and not feel like I missed much. The show seems pretty lame to me, and could be shortened to about 10 minutes without losing anything.
If you have time you may as well see it once because you never know if you will really like it or not.

We enjoyed it but I will agree that the seats are terrible uncomfortable. It is not one of my "must see" attractions but if I'm planning a day at MGM, my family and I will check it out.

My DH loved it! But DD and myself thought it was ho-hum. I think if you love action movies and car chases then this will be for you. It holds so many people that the rest of the park is probably line free when the show is going on--something I plan to check out on our next trip.

I thought it was ok. The kids thought it was too loud and ran a lilltle long for them. Probably won't be on the must see list next trip, not something we feel we will have to do each time.

I thought the show was good.

But this is like Indy we will only do it every other trip or so.

My ds (5) and dh LOVED it! They are still talking about it. I didn't care one way or the other. We also didn't notice being uncomfortable. I was happy getting to sit down for a few minutes! Check it out, you never know!

We went in May. It was hot. Very hot. :sunny:

The male people (ages 7 -- 39) loved it -- sat rivetted through the whole thing.

The females? Not so much. Parts were okay but I wouldn't sit through it again. And did I mention it was hot?

ETA: You really need to go and make the determination for yourelf. Just because I didn't care for it doesn't mean you won't. Maybe you'll have a great time. :)

Im not a car person at all, not a race person, not a stunt person but LOVE LOVE LOVE the show.

It was OK. Not great, not bad. Decent.

Nothing I'd go out of my way to see again. More like, "If I'm at MGM and am looking to kill an hour, and the show happens to be playing, sure, I might see it."

But for the hype it got and the amount of planning it looks like went into it (and the money), I don't think it lived up to the billing.

But it is worth seeing once, especially if you're into cars/action/etc. Different strokes for different folks, after all.

I have only seen it once.

I like it. It was pretty good. Interesting enough. The seats weren't that comfortable, but at least we were sitting. It did take a huge chunk of time out of the day though.

It's not something I feel the need to see every trip, but I would happily fit it in if someone in my party really wanted to check it out or was a car buff.

We just saw it last week for the first time and we loved it! Mind you, we all like car movies and love 'drifting' (Japanese racing - like in the movie Tokyo Drift and the manga/anime Initial D) The stunt drivers did a great job! We were some of the last people in to get our seats, so we didn't have to wait in line or sit on the metal benches long. We still got some great pictures...

I agree with I'mNoPrince that we'll probably only see this show every other trip, like we do with Indiana Jones. If you haven't seen it yet, it's worth it!

Add my family to those where the boys liked it much more than the girls. That being said, I'm glad I saw it at least once, and it wouldn't be a major hardship to sit through it again, sitting being the primary attraction for me! The view of the rest of the park from the bleachers is kind of cool, too.

I thought it was horrible and boring. As soon as the action starts to get going, they stop the whole production and say "Ok, now this is how we did all that!" and show you all the tricks. Its like watching a magician saw a lady in half and then at the end he opens the box and says "Well, you see, she just tucked her legs up here and these are fake feet on the bottom." The seating IS uncomfortable and its all outdoors so you just sit there and sweat. Honestly, there wasn't one thing I enjoyed about it and will not be sad to see it go someday.

This was DH's favorite show and the boys loved it too. Myself being the only female, I was made to watch it multiple times. From my stand point it was good, but not great. If you sit up high enough, there's a GREAT view of ToT, the hat, and the Dolphin resort. Also, once the show starts, there's no leaving. They use the enterance that you came in on as the road that the camera vehicle moves back and forth on. During one show a little boy tried to leave using that exit and was almost hit by the camera truck.

I thought it was pretty entertaining... didn't need all the talking and the seats are uncomfortable as anything... plus limited show times so it's always jam packed... worth seeing at least once, since the stunt parts really are entertaining. But man is it crowded and hot in there in July :lmao:
