DH, myself, DS17, DS13 and DS11 will have 1 day at MGM and we aren't doing any other parks (although the boys will do DisneyQuest 1 day). I've read mixed reviews on the LMA show and would love more opinions. My group is really into ToT and RnR so those are priorities for the day. Is it worth the time invested to go to this show? The guys are not really into cars at all. We've also never been to Millionaire, so that's also a definite on our list.

The hours for MGM for the day we'll be there are 9-7; we'll get there right at opening. I know the day will feel fairly short, so just wondering if we should invest up to 2 hours to see LMA. BTW we'll be there 2/17 which is the Friday of President's weekend, so it has the potential to be crowded (although 2/16 and 2/18 are EMH days, which is why I chose 2/17).

Thanks for your help!

My opinion would be that, given the age of your kids AND the fact that they aren't interested in cars, you should skip LMA. Don't get me wrong -- we saw the show in December and loved it -- but our DS is 7 and adores cars and motorcycles. There are some cool stunts, and it is interesting to see the explanations of how some stunts are performed, and there's some flashy fire effects -- but, I would say that the pace of the show could be considered too slow for older kids, and without an interest in cars it would really lose its appeal. So, spend your time soaking in the thrill rides instead!

The park will definately be crowded. Most of the resorts are filled to capacity that weekend. I enjoyed the stunt show. I'd suggest getting a fast pass. If you can't get a fast pass for it, skip it, since you are on a strict time budget. Last time I walked by Millionaire, they had taken out the fast pass machines for that show. I don't think that show is as popular as it was in the past. You shouldn't have much trouble getting into millionair.

The stunt show have been having problems as of late and the past few shows we went too didn't do half the stunts they normally do....you may want to skip this if you are on a time crunch, til your next visit.

then I would say set it way back on the priority list. Usually there are only a handful of showings a day. Not for sure, but the last showing is somewhere around 4:00 p.m. I'd say get there early, do all the things that are must-do's, and if it turns out you have time left over to try something new give it a shot. If not skip it. My DS 2 went absolutely nuts especially when Herbie comes out, but the show does move slowly and after seeing the same manuvers done several times over the show starts getting a little redundant. I think it is one of those things that if we really new how much skill it took to do the manuvers it would be much more impressive. anyways enough ranting.

Neither my husband nor I are into cars, but we are into learning more about how movies are made. We saw the show in Paris and enjoyed it quite a bit. There are a few interesting surprises and twists during the show.

Ok I'm odd man out. But they're boys and ALL BOYS love stunt shows. Its the Tim Allen in them lol. When we've gone we usually wait til 15 mins prior to showtime, we've always gotten good seats. When you enter the stadium go all the way to the right. It seems to be the last to fill up, there are always lower level seats you can get. I'm not into cars but it just makes you say WOW!

You will see that the first row is empty but thats reserved for people that can't climb the steps. Plus being to the right makes leaving easier. Oh I'd skip the first show I think the way the Stadium faces east you would have the sun in your faces for that show. We always did the 2:30 (think thats when it is). We are going Sunday and will be back Tuesday night. I'll let you know about Fastpasses and showtimes.

Thanks for your help everyone! Unfortunatley, the responses are pretty much what I expected - more mixed reviews! From what I can gather it looks like show times may be 10:50, 1:45 and 4:30. Maybe we'll get a FP for the 4:30 show - hopefully by then the boys will have had enough thrill rides to appease them for awhile! They love the parades only because the rides aren't as busy!

I guess I feel that since it's something we've never seen before that we should probably give it a try.

Can we get FP early in the day for the 4:30 show or are they only given out for the next available show (if I go to get FP's at 10:00 will only the 10:50 show be available or is there a choice of show time)?

Thanks again....
