My deepest sorrow to you Jordy, I have a lot to say but finding no words to say it right now....I'll PM the rest as I gather thoughts and revelations as they come from God on what to share with you.
I don't say I love you to just anyone, I only share it with those I truly care about..... it comes from the love that over-flows out of the love Christ has for me.
So without even a hint of flippancy....I love you my friend. I know that may not fix anything, but to me it is everything, without love it's all just a clanging cymbal, you know that. So please accept this with the spirit it's meant in and know that there is someone else who is totally on your side and with you all the way.

As I'm sure you know this journey is necessary for you to be able to come out the other side whole and living in total FREEDOM! So keep up the good work.
You have an amazing group of people right here to lean on if need be and I'm sure you have an amazing group of people around you to lean on there, take advantage of this time and your towers of support and know that we are all here for you in every way possible.
Take all the time you need, we're all here....and we're not going anywhere.

Just a real-time update, Erin and Dylan are actually playing a game of checkers very nicely in the living room as I type... I'm amazed that they're not getting into any fights (especially playing a GAME - which is inherantly competitive)... and they're actually talking in a NORMAL level of decibels... not the normal shrieking level they "talk" at.

AND, Erin is even giving him tips on how to move his checkers. AMAZING.

Hee hee hee. Now THIS is what life should be like with siblings.

But I will enjoy it while it lasts... and try to burn this memory in my head forever...

Good idea Wendy! One time when I took the kiddos to have their pictures taken the photographer happen to catch them acting silly and laughing in a pose that was soooo cute! (for some reason that day we happen to be in a sillier mood than usual and we all had each other giggling to beat the band)
I use this picture to prove to them that they can get along.
Treasure these moments, they don't come as often as we'd like.

By the way....I don't know if this works for others but it sure does in our house. If I ground one of the kids from all electronics, I find that they have to find ways to get along so they can entertain each other.
I especially like to ground my son because he usually gets grounded from his cell (no time to be distracted with texting you know), and this way I know there's an overly generous playmate for my daughter for the next few days or weeks, what ever the case may be.
It's gonna suck when he moves out into his own place.

One of my most fond moments was at my niece's wedding a few years ago. My kids did not really know anyone, the family lives in Texas, and they danced with each other, spoke to other strangers and generally had fun.
My DH looked at me and said " Hey look, they are actually getting along" It brought and still does bring a tear to my eye.
It can happen. Treasure those moments with the mental snapshot.
You can always look in your mental photo album when they are slinging each other around.

I don't know you as well as some of the others here but I do know that you are a strong person and you have a strong faith to help you on your journey towards healing. Take it one day at a time and if that's too overwhelming to think about, take it one hour or one minute at a time.

I'm normally a lurker but I LOVE reading your trip reports!

I just want to say thank you so much for sharing your story. I'm in a pretty dark place right now in my own life. Because of you being brave enough to share your struggles - I'm able to gain hope and healing from reading the encouraging messages people are sending to you! It's amazing how God works sometimes!

Anyway - thanks again! I will pray that you feel God's presence and healing in your life like never before.
