Lights, faucets, sinks

I am in need of bathrooms sinks, lights, mirrors in three bathrooms and new lights in kitchen and dining room. I checked Lowes, Home Depot and Amazon. Does anyone have any other ideas where I can look?

Aren't there "factory" stores near where you live? I think there's one liquidation depot, etc. about 10 miles away from me, so maybe there's some place near you?

Habitat for Humanity has restores where they resell things they were not able to use during building. i have seen some really nice stuff there! they have a bunch of locations in the us and canada.

Shopping for fixtures is a nightmare! I love-hate it!

They have nice selections. If nothing else, you can get an idea of the styles you are drawn to and then figure out your price point from there.

There are 3 Habitat for Humanity Restore locations in Mass. These places get overruns from every type of business you can imagine plus tear outs from homes, hotels, etc. Prices for tile, fixtures, etc are very good. Go to Google and type in Massachusetts Habitat for Humanity Restore and the locations will pop up for you.

I would look at plumbing supply showrooms and electrical light showrooms, even design showrooms. You may not buy what they offer, but you will see more complete lines of popular brands, and you will see fixtures displayed in ways that will narrow down the look you want. We found a faucet we loved by Kohler, but ended up getting it best priced on the Internet. Lighting is especially important to see in person, if possible. There is a world of choice out there, after the limited selection at Lowe's, etc. Our hardest choice was selecting cabinet knobs. Took forever!

For faucets, look at faucetdepot.com and faucetdirect.com. They sell the bett quality fixtures like plumbers use. The ones in the big box stores are cheaper models.

I lucked out on my kitchen faucet. I don't know if they were just changing the box style or the model number what, but they put it in the clearance setion on faucetdirect.com for less than $75 under one model number, and the exact same fuacet w/ another model number was full price at over $200! Faucetdirect also has lots of coupons avalable for various things.

thanks everyone for all of your help. I tried the habitat house. they just opened one near me. there wasn't anything that woudl work for me. You can do really well if you hit it right. the lady that worked there said that i just missed a big shipment from lowe's. i ended up using lowes and home depot. i'm going to get toilets tonight.
