How many people out there in fantasy land use presets in Lightroom?

Supposedly you can do more in lightroom 2.0, like achieve the soft glow effect (without going to Photoshop) but I have yet to upgrade.

I stumbled upon some pretty cool websites that have a bunch of cool presets and for so long I was just using the default ones :scared1: . Here are some links to some pretty neat presets that I have enjoyed playing with:

Here are some examples of stuff I've been doing strictly in Lightroom (No photoshop!):

Edgy Effect with some edge darkening:

So if anyone has any links to some neat presets please post them here! Thanks

I use presets often, although mostly to apply settings initial settings and then further process each photo. I have most of the presets you refer to in your message and hover over many of them to see which effect is most likely to compliment the specific photo I am working with. They are very handy.

Don't miss out on the other presets for the other modules, either. They cut down on other processes besides development. I use the Web presets heavily.

And if you have not downloaded the camera profiles beta yet, you'll want to get those (especially if you own a Canon or Nikon, which are supported heavily.) They have quite an impact to your workflow.

I can not emphasize this part heavily enough. The improvement it made to my colors was worth the upgrade price for me. No more orangeish-reds.

And I use presets too, mostly to add some initial settings also.

i used the beta presets to do some changes then tweaked them in other things and really it's the thing i probaby miss most...if my lightroom (that must be lost in the mail system somewhere) ever comes, i will check out the ones you posted

Where can you download these from? I just got lightroom. I haven't had time to try it yet.

just found out my lightroom 2 has a "hey dude i want to see the world Preset" since so far it's been from dallas to ontario to corona Ca, scampering straight thru Ohio on the way, evidently not quite ready to grow up, settle down and get a job ..;) :rotfl:
