Lightning shut down Space Mountain and TTA today

when i was in magic kingdom today there was a major thunder and lightning storm which hit Space Mountin causing it to shut down temporarily with cars stuck on the tracks. we were on the people mover at the time so we got to see space mountain with all the lights on. then they stopped the people mover when we were above Carousel of Progress so we were sitting there for a good 15-20 minutes. eventually they came around and took everyone out of the people mover and took us out the nearest exit allowing us to walk by some of the displays. we then got special fast passes to use anywhere in the park by the 31st.

Did anybody else have any other problems today???

Oh wow..that's crazy.
We had a big storm pass through today where I'm at. I was surrounded by tornado warnings, which is very unusual where I live.

We had a big storm pass through last night. It was raining and lightning really bad. I guess we're all having storms around the same time.

I saw the lights on in Space Mountain today too, but they must have already gotten the rockets off the track.

When I was at Disney last week, one of the days we went to MK (idr which day, sorry) four rides were shut down: Splash mountain, space mountain, the people mover, and thunder mountain. It was very unusual so we ended up chilling in the carousel of progress for most of the day-it was super busy!

I was at Magic Kingdom on 8/27 and Space Mountain, Thunder Mountain and Splash Mountain were down for most of the day. Then in the evening, a gigantic thunder storm came through and the MK was really flooded. Good thing we rode Space Mountain twice in the morning. I wonder what is going on, that so many of the mountains are having problems.
