Lightning McQueen & Mater

Can anyone tell me if there is a meet & greet for Lightning McQueen & Mater in Disneyland California Adventure - we are planning a trip in June 2009 and it is a must see for the 3 yr old!!! Sorry if this has already been a post, but I can not locate any updated information.

Yes there is. We just did it last Saturday and saw it again on Wed & Thurs. It is directly across from Taste Pilots Grill and Soaring over CA.

I wanted to add that we went 2 weeks ago. There was NO LINE!!! we went like 5 times... at WDW we had to wait forever!!!!

Same here! In fact, that was THE shortest line we stood in for the whole trip!! When we took pictures, I think there was maybe 4 people head of us. When we would pass by at later times, twice I saw that there were no people in line and the Photopass people were just standing there waiting for people.

They are there from 10 am to 5 pm unless they are part of the parade. Last time I saw Lightning McQueen there. It is a scheduled meet and greet location. As you walk from Sunshine Plaza you will see Tastte Pilot Grill on your right then Soarin'. On your left is the ice cream cart, desert shrubbery then the meet and greet then a shop with a lot of boy type of toys then the restroom.

I would ask a CM. They were not out when we were there. Not sure why.

I remember seeing the times for the meet and greet were listed on the schedule that we picked up at the gate so that would be a good place to look to know for sure what time they are there. They must change the times on some days because I think when I was there they were only there in the afternoon (?). I remember something about 2:30 and I'm not sure if that was the ending time or the beginning time. But mechurchlady gave a longer time period than what I remember seeing so maybe they change it depending on crowds or something.

They are back there now? SWEET! They werent there last year as they were in the Pixar play parade or something like that. I am excited to see em again.

The time is approximate and things may change the schedule so for planning I say 10 to 5 and because I have two schedules that say that time. You may have come when the characters were on break. That does happen. That orl maybe they blew a gasket or their oil filter needed changing again.

Last year we were there in April, and I asked about LM and M, and was told since they were in the parade, they would not be using them for photos. I was hoping they would because at that time I thought DS was going to have a Cars theme bday party and wanted pics of him with his 2 fave cars...until Buzz Lightyear showed up in his life.

Maybe this year, he will want a Cars theme bday party. I guess the photo opportuntiy is only on certain days.

I'm so excited to hear this, when were were in DL last October they weren't out and DS was very disappointed. We're going again in July and seeing Lightning and Mater is on the top of our character list!

Thanks for the info. We'll definitely have to make our way to visit LM and TM. Besides Dinosaurs my son loves them.

Yes there is its across from Soarin , not sure exactly when they are there though.
