I can buy my lightning lanes tomorrow at 7am. We are starting at MK then hopping to HS at about 5pm. We really want to get Slinky and some other HS rides.

1) Should we just book the later times at HS?

2) If we book them at MK will Slinky even be available the day of?

3) Can I use this strategy: book three lightning lane rides at MK, use the first, then book Slinky and hold it while continuing to book rides at MK with the other two (eventually grabbing late ones at HS).

How many days do you have for your visit, and how far in advance are you able to book, 7 or 3 days?

It really depends on your answer above.

Yes but not impossible if you check as additional Slinky times are dropped in the afternoon at 1:18, 1:19, 3:47, 3:48, 3:49, and 3:50 PM.

Yes that is not an issue but timing is the real issue in balancing your LLMP usage across MK & HS LLMP return times.

We are going for two days, but day two is AK/Epcot. That day is easier- get up for early entry, then do an hour or two at AK and head over to Epcot where we will have our Lightning Lanes.

We are booking 7 days in advance. Based on your other comments, it looks like the strategy I laid out of grabbing Slinky once we use our first lightning lane ride at MK is the best bet. If it's sold out, we will keep checking. My son has never done that ride or ROTR, so they are high priority, but we will have an individual lightning for ROTR, so worst case scenario, we will just get in line for Slinky at the end of the night.

Just remember that there are almost no Slinky same day LLMP left until the times I listed above when they drop additional numbers of LLMP for Slinky. Don't spend all you time constantly checking before 1 PM, just enjoy your time at MK.

Dave gave you the additional release times for Slinky a few posts up. That is your best bet for a day of Lightening Lane, but those get snatched up very quickly.

You should also keep in mind that the standby waits for Slinky drop significantly in the evenings. Last night, the posted wait was 30 minutes about a half hour before the park closed. Based on recent reports, the actual wait was probably around half of that.

Thanks for the advice! I wrote down the times!

Thanks for all the help. We grabbed Haunted Mansion at 9:45, Pirates at 11:55, and Space Mountain at 12:55 (and the ILL for Tron at 10:55). Once we use HM, we will see if Slinky is available. If not, we will check the times when they drop new passes. When we use Pirates and Space Mountain, we will then book whatever else is available for our Hop to Hollywood Studios. We need to be out of MK by 6 because there is an after hours party that night.

Now I just have to hope our plane actually takes off next Wednesday night (I'm following the transportation threads).

Thanks again- this board is always helpful!
