Lightning Lane Premier Pass is launching October 23

Because they have the data. We don’t. With the data they will entirely maximize revenue regardless of the price.

$300 x 2,000 > $400 x 1499

Agreed. Which is why I said “if enough people” are buying it. If their target for the limited availability is being hit at $400, they will keep it there. If not they will tweak the price so they hit the target. Of course Disney is the one with the data.

Tom posted a good review this morning-

Towards the end of the video, he said that if you are on a VIP tour you can go on the same ride as many times as you want to. Is that accurate? The reports I've read in the past few years have said you can only go on each ride once if you take a VIP tour.

I am planning a VIP tour in June, 2025, as a graduation gift for my grandson. I spoke directly with the VIP staff to get all the details. It is correct that you can ride all rides unlimited times with the exception of Rise of the Resistance. They can also make reservations for preferred seating for fireworks, parades and dinner even after the end of the time you have reserved. A day at Disneyland has become so confusing, complicated and time-consuming it is becoming more stressful than fun just trying to keep track of it all. So I am going to try VIP and hope for a pleasant, hassle-free day. We traditionally have spent 5 days in the parks, staying at GCH, but by cutting our stay down to 3 days, the price is about the same.

I will say that if you have a really hard to get dining reservation, I would not leave it to VIP services to book it right at 6am on the 60th day before your trip, even though they will say that they will help you. I did this once with BB, and they said they “couldn’t get a reservation” after I trusted them to book it. I didn’t book it myself because they said they would do it. Nonetheless, I would always book a tough dining reservation myself, and if VIP also gets it for me, then I can cancel mine. We actually ended up canceling that entire trip because my parents were diagnosed with cancer right before it, so we didn’t get to do the VIP. We have done many VIP tours at WDW, and we have loved them! I think you will have a great time!!

Reviving this thread to see if anyone else has done LLPP and can report back? There was another thread by a person who did it, but I was hoping for even more feedback?

That was probably me. I think I did a decent job explaining things, but if you have a specific question or concern I can try to give additional input.

@AndrewC, your review on the other thread was excellent!! It really helped me! I was just hoping you or someone else had been able to try it on a subsequent day to get more feedback on how it is working in the parks. We may try it for one day on a future trip. Thank you again for your great info!!

We did it a week and a half ago for our family if 4 and it was absolutely fantastic. It’s a pretty simple product, so I’m not sure what needs to be reported back.

You walk up to any LL ride, scan your MB+ or Disneyland app and then just walk in. If you already purchased a LLMP then you can use that to stack the big rides for the end of the day so that you can ride those twice.

As a surprise, my husband got us the Premier Pass Sat 11/30. It's very worthwhile because it frees you from the clock that you are bound to with the regular LL. We arrived at the park around 9:30ish and the times were already pushed into the afternoon for rides like Indiana Jones. We made the choice to no-show for the River Belle Terrace seated Fantasmic dinner in order to make use of the pass. We did ride a few of our favorites twice. We were most happy being able to ride Cars at sunset. I can't see myself asking to do this Premier Pass again, but I will certainly take the gift again! I don't think my husband felt it was a waste of money.

I think the key for Premier Pass to be worth it or not is if you have the ability to hop and can really do all the lightening lane attractions in on day. If you are tied to only one park the value of PP is cut significantly.

I still think they should do tier pricing. $250 for a single park or $400 for both parks.

Are you talking about the premium package or the dinner package where you sit in the dining package seating?

In the future, you can cancel your reservation on the app. That lets them know not to hold a table for you and might allow someone else to take advantage of a walk up reservation.

No one would buy it for DCA and they would end up with a lot of $250 DLand passes.

Maybe. But at the time why would anyone pay $400 for Premier Pass when they only have access to one park? Even if that park is Disneyland. $400 is too much.

I don’t understand what you are talking about. It’s not just at one park in Anaheim and never has been.

It’s only at one park in Orlando and the pricing is different.

I am talking about those who do not have park hoppers. They are paying the same $400 for the single park they have access to that day as someone who does have park hoppers and has access to both parks.

It would be nonsensical to not upgrade to a park hopper ticket if you are going to have LLPP.

Candidly, we have never purchased single park tickets and I don’t imagine that we ever will.
