Lightning Lane Multi Pass Purchase Time Frame Question

Good evening. We (a family of 5) are traveling to WDW in October and staying at CBR. I understand that you can make your lightning lane pass selections 7 days ahead of your trip. However, when can you actually pay for the multi lane pass service? Is it the same day you make your fast pass selections or can you pay for the overall service before this so you are ready to go with selections at 7am?

You book/pay for them starting 7 days prior to your check in day if staying in a Disney resort.

You do it all at the same time. What’s nice is you pick your three attractions before you pay so you know you have what you want before spending any money.

I maybe dense but when you say pay for all selections at one time is that for that day’s selection - mufti and single pass. Or can I do all 4 days selections and then pay the entire total. I am assuming it is per day selections.

You chose one day at a time and pay for it.

I'll use myself as an example.
I checked in August 19th and had a 3 day park hopper ticket that I was using the 20th, 21st, and 22nd.

On August 12th at 7am I went on the app and went to the LL page.
Chose Aug 20th, chose that I wanted the MPLL for MK and a SPLL for Ris of the Resistance, and chose my party.
I then chose my 3 advanced selections at MK.
I then purchased that day.

I then did the same for Aug 21st.

I then did the same for Aug 22nd.

So it was 3 different transactions all done within a few minutes of each other.

Thanks, your explanation really helped a lot. I have just one more question-I'm checking in on 18th, but not using any LLMP until the 22nd (I have an AP, not date-based tickets, if that matters). I assume that I have to make a park reservation for MK for the 22nd before I do anything (so before I do anything else). When I go to make my selections on the 11th(?), will I have a menu of dates, so I can skip the 19th thru the 21st? I don't need to buy anything on those dates.

Yes you can skip days.
I checked in on Aug 19th but was not going to a park until Aug 20th so I chose Aug 20th.

In case you don’t know, as you have an AP and are staying at a resort, you can make your park reservations now, you don’t need to wait for those. One less thing to do, so you can focus on LLMP and rides at 7 days out.

Unless the 22nd is marked as a Good to Go day then technically you need a park reservation.

If the 11th is 7 days before your first check-in date then you can book for your total length of stay without regard to multiple stays as long as they are continuous and up to a max of 14 days.

From the Home Menu (lower left House button) on MDE click on the Purchase LL button. You will get a Calendar view where you can select any day(s) you want to purchase LLMP and/or LLSP. You can try this right now.
