Lighting on verandah?

Silly question but is there lighting on the verandah?

If I recall correctly, I've read that there is a light on the verandah. I sure hope so, because I plan on spending my nights out there

Yes there is a light but we rarely used it. There is more than enough light without it.

There is a switch inside the cabin so you can turn the verandah light on or off. We prefer it off late at night so we can see all the stars.

I like to read out there late at night, but found it not bright enough to read by, so I take a book light.

What deck were you on? I think we were on deck 8..? Even with the light off, we could not see the stars, or at least it was very limited due to all of the light pollution coming off the decks above. I guess my question is how well can you see the stars from where you were?

We're always mid-ship, either on deck 8 (Mediterranean, Baltic, and concierge cruises) or deck 6 (spring break 3- and 4-night cruises). As long as there are no clouds, we've never had trouble seeing the stars. We even take a little "star guide" I picked up at Target's Dollar Spot several years ago to help us identify the constellations.

Just got off a 3-day. Balcony on deck 6. Not many stars to see on the first 2 nights due to clouds. But on the third night, the sky was clear and there were many stars to see. Not quite dark enough to see the Milky Way. But significantly more stars than you would see from most urban areas.

We were on deck 6 and there was enough light for me to read after dark on the verandah.
