I'm a little surprised by the number of cabanas. I kept hearing that the new island would have more of them because they are so hard to get on Castaway Cay if you are sailing on the Wish because of the number of concierge guests.

Exciting!! Having just been at Castaway Cay last week I can't wait to go back there or, to LP!

It will be interesting to see which ships/itineraries go to each island? Will one ship always go to the same private island or, will it move between both depending on the itinerary?

I’m disappointed in the number of Cabanas. For smaller groups like ours, the number has actually decreased! There will be 6 serenity bay cabanas and only 20 family beach cabanas, 4 of which are larger ones. When I get a cabana it is normally for 2 or 3 of us, so it sounds like only 22 are normal sized cabanas vs Castaway Cay’s 25. It wouldn’t feel great to pay for a grand cabana with such a small group, but if that is the only one available on one of our future sailings, I guess that is what we will do.

Will Lighthouse Point debut before the Treasure? If so, maybe that means a bunch of double dips in summer 2024 … or an itinerary that stops at both islands?

I wonder how they will determine which ships go to which islands. I too was surprised to have you cabanas. I will definitely be on the Treasure by 2025, it would be great if it stops at the new island

It looks a nice place Lighthouse point. But a little bit more like coco with royal Caribbean than castaway being a private island

I think it's just Castaway Cay with a new theme. It's got a culture hall and some excursions that leave the area to see the rest of the island, but otherwise, it's basically just Castaway 2. No big pools or water parks or anything like that!

When I think of Coco Cay I think of a water park, large pool with a dj and different areas to order food. I am curious to know why you feel they are similar

This looks like the exact opposite of Coco Cay. Mostly the reason I am so excited for it.

True but part if me wonders if the exclusivity of the cabanas is a selling tactic for concierge. Concierge on disney cruise is very expensive to have so few perks, and I feel like the Cabanas have for some time now been a big draw for Concierge

I'd be willing to bet they wanted more but couldn't get them approved or even Ran out of room.

As part of the original agreement there was only a certain amount of structures that they could build on the land if I am remembering correctly.

At least there are a few more "large size" ones this time around.

I think the exclusivity is definitely part of it. Which makes it even more frustrating when you pay for concierge but then can't get the cabana even when you send your email at exactly midnight at the 130 mark. We were 1 for 2 getting them when we sailed concierge on the Wish. And we were willing to take Family OR Adult beach because our kids are 19 and 21. But we were told that this wouldn't be a problem when the Wish started sailing to the new island because it was going to have a lot more Cabanas.

I do love Castaway Cay, but I was hoping for some really different stuff with Lighthouse Point. It won't keep me from going there though. Which I am guessing Disney probably already knows. lol

How does not having enough cabanas for concierge act as a selling point for concierge? If they were guaranteed for concierge it would. But this is no longer the case.

Because it’s the only way to have a shot at getting one. If they had enough for every concierge cabin, then whenever a sailing did not sell out concierge there would be cabanas up for grabs by regular folk.

I wonder how much more the cabanas will be at Lighthouse than Castaway.

I know there has been speculation that the new itinery release might wait to coincide with the effective date of the new pearl status. I hope these release sooner and maybe the Treasure dates open with Pearl status.

Wouldn't surprise me if Treasure doesn't go to Lighthouse Point initially so people need to book to seperate cruises to enjoy both new things.

The latest from DCL on the Treasure said delivery was going to be in late 2024. This might put the maiden voyage into January 2025.
