Lighthouse Point to be completed in 2022/23

I wonder if they will try to make the Disney Wish' first itinerary to be to Lighthouse Point. To make it extra desirable for the frequent cruisers
Doubt it. They are a year from being able to be shovel in ground on LP - note that they have also said no construction will occur until a full Environmental Impact Assessment is done, and reviewed by the Bahamian government.

Zoomed in to see if I saw any bikes like they have at Castaway Cay in the concept art here and didn't notice any...hoping they have walking and biking trails: https://attractionsmagazine.com/disney-wish-disney-cruise-line-d23-expo-2019/

It is called concept art for a reason. It is the broad ideas. They do not show everything.

The concept art for the ship shows a blank podium next to the stairs - I do not think anyone anticipates no atrium statue but a blank climbing area for kids to hurl themselves from.

It would be nice if they included some of the family bicycles from Boardwalk at WDW for families to ride together with small children or elderly family members. I am sure they will be including more cabanas. An arts and crafts area under a shaded shelter house would be fun too. I don't spend too much time on CC as I can't handle being in the sun for very long. Moana themes could be fun.

Lighthouse Point is at the southern tip of the Island of Eleuthera. The beaches along LP are absolutely stunning. I'm amazed they were able to pull this off (the purchase of LP), though I will be sad that when we visit Eleuthera in the future this hidden secret will be off the radar. Part of the charm is navigating your way through the 2-tracks to the beaches - It was difficult to find, with no signage, and very rough road, but once you got there, it was spectacular. A real coup for Disney.

I would love food that does not taste like something I scraped off the bottom of my shoe (lookin at you Cookies). And I hope the restaurant has nice views this time--it is so weird being herded into a stuffy picnic table pavilion when there is an ocean view just out of sight.

Interesting... It looks like the ship is pretty far from the beach. I'd expect them to offer a tram but it's nice that on CC it's not a huge walk either.

I know that it’s just concept art (but I love the drawings!), but are we guessing that this, unlike CC, is going to be a tender port? I noticed in the drawing that the ship was anchored offshore and there doesn’t appear to be a pier.

It's supposed to be a trestle pier so that there will be no need for dredging.

There are two beach sets on either side of the point (purple area in the picture). It appears that the concept art is showing us the eastern beaches while the pier will be off the southwestern side of the point (see below)
