Can you bring a rented ECV from the ship on to the island? Can you get anywhere without going on sand? Just wondering if the ECV can be used at all on the island. For instance, to see the Junkanoo show? Eat?

You can get everywhere without going on sand (except the beach proper). They've paved the primary ingress paths and done boardwalk style walkways up and down the beachfront (behind the dunes). Should be easy to navigate. Not sure about getting an ECV for the island proper - we've never needed one. Recommend calling DCL on that one

I assume you're talking about one you rented that was delivered to the ship and the answer Is yes. No restrictions as to taking them to LP. Once you get to the Tram stop they will load you on it and off you go. Plenty of places to ride once you get to the drop off point.

I saw a lot of ECVs on the pier and island during our cruise.
Thank you all!
Yes, I will be renting one at the beginning of the cruise.

The junkanoo is a problem though. The band and characters dance on the pacement and guests stand in the sand. First time they let me stand with my walker on the sode on the pavement. Second Time they told me I couldnt so I asked where I could stand then… the andwer was euhhh ok just stay here then. There is literally one spot in that area though… i now moved on the electric wheelchair so Im really wondering Hats gonna happen next time…

Oh…well, thanks for the warning.

It seems that the designers of Lighthouse Point didn’t take in consideration that people on a cruise can have mobility issues. My daugther was just there today. She has run several run disney events even the marathon. She said it was a long walk to the island on the pier, then an 8 minute ride on the tram and another hike to the adult beach. I think her and her boyfriend made it fine but she was looking at it through my viewpoint and my walking challenges.

The pier really isnt bad, I used a walker both times and made it in under 10 min (meanwhile Im electric wheelchairuser) the tramride is long, boring and sandy. The -hike- to the adult bezch isnt too bad neither
