Is it difficult to get LL - both single and multi - for large groups (10 people)? Are the return times at all affected by party size? What about virtual queues?

We've got one child in the group who is only 42" - can LL and rider swap be used together? What about ride swap and VQ?

Is it risky just waiting to see if you get a VQ before deciding to purchase a single pass LL? It's my understanding that you can't cancel the single LL pass, but there is no charge for the VQ. With 10 people that cost adds up and we would like to avoid the cost if we will be able to ride without it.

A bit of info on the trip:

I'm going to be visiting WDW for 2 days before my cruise on the Wish at the end of August. From what I can tell the parks shouldn't be that busy, but we plan to be in EPCOT on Saturday and MK on Sunday. It is my family of 4 and another family of 6 - 4 adults and 6 kids age 4-14. My family and I have been many times and our friends have only ever been to Disneyland. We plan on getting the new multipass lightening lane for both parks. We're undecided on single pass LL for TRON and Guardians. TRON, Guardians, and Remy all opened since our last visit and are TOP priority for my family. I've used LL in Disneyland, but understand it works a little differently in WDW. I've also used Genie+ in 2020 at WDW and Fastpass+ before that so I think I know enough about scheduling times.

We often travel as a group of 10 and have never had any issues with our party size creating difficulty getting VQ or LL. There have been people in the Multipass thread talking about booking with large groups with no trouble.

I can't answer your other questions, but booking day-of LLSP reservations for Tron and Guardians may require some luck and quite a bit of time on your phone. The screenshot below is the Lightning Lane Availability Map for Guardians. (I'm ignoring the fact it still says Genie+.) Look at only the past several days since LLMP/LLSP started. All those gray areas are times when no LLs for Guardians were available to book on those days ( because they had been booked up on prior days, I presume). The Availability map for Tron is as bad or worse. Do not depend on being able to buy LLSPs for those rides right after learning you missed out on the VQs. You could do it for Guardians today, but not yesterday or the days before. You haven't been able to do it for Tron in several days. You'll notice there is sporadic availability even after the LL sells out, so there is some hope, but it is risky. Of course, things may change by next month, but that's how it is working now.

Edit; It looks like Disboards could not download my screenshot. Go to this webpage and scroll down to the Genie+ Lightning Lane Availability Map (the colored one) to see what I'm talking about.

Interesting. I'll have to get the LLSP for those then. I figured things would change when pre-booking came into play. We've only got the 2 park days so we have to leverage LLMP and LLSP to try and get as much in as we can. We'll be exhausted, but can rest on the Wish when we board her right after.
