Lightbulb Moment Concerning CP and Splitting Dining Credits

Ok, so a couple of threads on here got me thinking out of the box. Here's an idea I have concerning the CP package and splitting TS meals. We will be on the DxDDP for the first 2 days of our trip. Tell me if this is possible...

Day 1
Lunch: split a TS meal at Chefs de France (use only 1 credit between 2 people)
Dinner: 6:45 CP Package (use 4 credits between 2 people)

Day 2
Lunch: Liberty Tree Tavern (use 2 credits between 2 people)
Dinner: use snacks or pay OOP for CS

Day 3
Lunch: WCC (use 1 credit for 1 person and pay OOP (with DVC discount) for 2nd person)
Dinner: either Yachtsman Steakhouse or Jiko (use 4 credits between 2 people)

That equals the 12 total credits we will be receiving for doing the DxDDP for 2 nights. The reason I'm thinking about doing this is because we want to eat at both Chefs de France and Teppan Edo on our Epcot day, but we want to do the 6:45 CP package, too. We need to eat a light meal for lunch (sharing a meal would be perfect) since we will be eating dinner around 4:30 with our CP package.

I mainly want to know if this will work to split the Chefs lunch and have one person use dining plan and one pay OOP at WCC.

Not 100% sure on the Chefs' split, normally this is just fine, but each experience may vary.

The pay 1 meal OOP, 1 meal DxDDP (or DDP, or QSDP, etc) is absolutely fine though, and it's just like splitting a check at your local restaurant.

Just let the server know beforehand what you intend either way.

Now, typically it's better to use a 2 credits at 2 meals than it is to use them at one. (This is because the majority of 2 credit meals are less than twice what the 1 credit ones are). However, with a discount at WCC and your desire to eat lighter at Chefs, I think your plan is better than that.

We split 2 prix fix meal between 2 A 2 C but we were paying oop for that meal so not sure if that helps, but I bet they would allow it.

Well, I'm going to try it. The worst that could happen is Chefs de France says no, you can't split a meal. Then we will use 2 credits between the 2 of us and pay OOP for both of us at WCC (with our discount). The point is I get to eat at both Chefs de France and Teppan Edo on my Epcot day AND can still get the CP package. That's what I wanted!

Just wondering that even if you split a meal at Chefs for lunch, if you want to see the 6:45 cp show and get the cp package the latest they will let you book a dinner is from 4:00-4:30 pm.

Even if you split, you will be eating a meal approx at noon the earliest and then a dinner at no later than 4:30, so I dont know how that would work out for you.

We usually do a big breakfast or just a light counter service before the cp meal and we always pick the 6:45 show too.

Yes, I realize the meals will be close together. My Chefs de France reservation is at 12:00. I'm hoping for a 4:30 reservation at Teppan Edo. One reason we love Disney is the food, and I really want to eat at both places. This will be the only day we are in Epcot. And I honestly don't think splitting a lunch at Chefs de France will be more food than if we both ordered a CS meal. (Oh and we aren't big breakfast eaters.)
