Light up sychrynized mouse ears??

the glow with the show mickey ear hats are about $25.
they can be found at many of the gift shops at the parks.
i believe the work with wishes, fantasmic, and the osborne family dancing lights at disney world and they work with world of color at california adventure.
i purchased mine at california adventure and notices that i was about the only one that was wearing them.
i did not take them with me on my last two trips to disney world as i figured they would not be a hit there either but on my trip a few weeks ago i did see quite a few people with them on.
i find that they are entirely too big for me and quite heavy and also very bulky to travel with so i still don't think i'll be taking them on future trips.

Well dang they looked cool on the wdw website. I was thinking for my 5 year old son but if they are heavy I doubt he will want to wear them :(

I bought some back in May for my 3 and 6 year olds, I ended up wearing one of them and now my kids use them as night lights. A few people were wearing them and they looked cool, but I probably would've saved the $50 for something else.

I, too, was excited for this concept.... That was, until we got to WDW. I had seen all the videos and thought it would create this cool, amazing atmosphere and they were at the top of my souvenir list. Then I saw the hats in person. They are UGLY. They look like a bicycle helmet for a toddler. In addition, I was in the MK during The castle show 3 times during our trip and each time we saw less than 5 people wearing them. So not only were the hats ugly, but $25 and an ugly hat later you still won't get to have the cool effect of everyone's hats glowing with the show. It was a bummer for sure.

Additionally, the few bright, flashing hats, in a general sea of darkness, adds to the visual irritation that the tablet people induce.

Sometimes I think people don't understand how much these hats can bother the eyes.

We were riding the bus from Caribbean Beach over to Jellyrolls. When we switched buses at Downtown Disney, there was a woman on the Boardwalk bus with a pair of the headband style light up ears in her hand.

While we waited for the bus to pull away, she was complaining about how bright the lights on the bus were as it was pitch black outside. She proceeded to put her sunglasses on as the lights were bugging her so bad.

As the bus pulled away, she turned her ears on strobe mode, and proceeded to wear them, as well as the sunglasses the rest of the trip, never once considering if the bus lights bothered her eyes, that those strobe lights might be driving the rest of our eyes crazy. We cheered when she finally got off at the Yacht Club.

I will second that they are too heavy. We got a pair for my 4 year old and they kept sliding around and falling off. They are bulky and we don't want to pack them since she can't really wear them. I usually pride myself on not buying things at Disney that we either don't really enjoy or use multiple times. These are neither. #fail. :(

My sister and I kept wondering why they couldn't make a headband version? I didn't really inspect the inner workings of the hat, but maybe there's too much 'technology' inside to fit on a headband? It just seems like that would solve the ugly issue and perhaps the heavy issue.

I'm sooo glad I asked ahead of time! Wont be wasting $ - disappointment done and gone Thanks!
