My parents have been DVC members for over 20 years. As much as I like FP+, it just isn't for them. They used to choose which park to visit by getting on the next bus to arrive at the resort. They have never been vacation planners. They just show up and see what's happening.

I volunteered to help plan their post-Thanksgiving trip. I got them FP+ for the rides they care most about. Yesterday, out of the blue, they told me that they'd like to eat at the Beast's Castle or the Crystal Palace. Why are they telling me this NOW??? This would've been useful information months ago.

Now I'm hitting refresh repeatedly, hoping for a reservation to make their trip a little more special.

Ugh, that stinks! Hopefully something will open up for you! I was able to get a BOG dinner reservation about 45 days in advance, so you still have hope!

I've heard of a lot of people getting in just days before their trip. People make a bunch of reservations and narrow down their choices as they finalize their plans.

Have you tried the reservation finder on Touring Plans? You can choose to send a text to your phone when something shows up. Good luck!!

Also the deadline to cancel is the day before so that's when we find a lot of what we're looking for.

I'd have them do the booking. People learn faster when they have to do it themselves
