I have a 10 year old who will have the adult dining plan. At times he has a big appetite, but most of the time he doesn't. If we are eating somewhere like Sci-Fi and he only wants a regular portion kids meal can we pay out of pocket (cash/card) for his, but use dining credits for the rest of us. Will they have a problem with this or do we need to plan on using an adult dining credit? Thanks for the help!

Oh yeah, you can totally mix up payment types. Just be sure that you specifically explain which meal you are paying for with cash, and which meals are Dining Credits :)

Just be sure to ask what comes with the meal if you order OOP. At some places (I think mostly non-Disney owned) they won't include the "typical" full package kids meal. On occasion, DD ordered an appetizer instead and took my drink if she wanted a bit more.
